1 Requirements

1.1 Requirements for Installation:

1.5 GB disk space

Microsoft Windows XP SP 1 or 2 or 3 / Vista SP 2 / Seven

Administrator rights

Regional options settings: time and date in English, numbers in English (decimal symbol: point ".")

For workload sharing features (sync/send/load setup): TCP/IP connection between the two computers running Lido/eRouteManual

For Enroute moving map (RFC North Up mode): bus connection and appropriate software interface

1.2 Recommended requirements

Processor: 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 duo

RAM: 1 GB or 2 GB with minimum 512 MB dedicated for application

Processor: multicore CPU

1.3 Minimal requirements

RAM: 512 MB with minimum 380 MB dedicated for application Note: the screenshots featured in this manual are of symbolic character only and may therefore vary in their appearance.

2 Installation procedure

2.1 Installation source

On the installation source you will find the following directories:

2.2 Launch eRouteManual-4.0.3 installer

Double-click on the icon eRouteManual-4.0.6.x.y.msi. This will open the following welcome screen. In order to guard against confusion and error, it is strongly advised to use the default selections/entries.

Click on “Next”.

2.3 Select destination directory

Use the “Change…” button to modify the destination path, if required.

Click on “Next”.

2.4 Select the components to be installed

Use the submenu buttons next to each component to ensure the following is selected.

Click on “Next”.

2.5 Select Start menu folder

Adjust the name of the folder to be created, as required.

Click on “Next”.

2.6 Select the installation type, desktop icon and shortcut if required

Click on “Next”.

If Server installation was selected, you will have to choose the path to install the data and config folders.

Click on “Next”.

2.7 Finalizing the installation

The Lido/eRouteManual application is now ready for the final installation step.

Click on “Install” and follow the instructions given.

Click on “Finish”. The application is now ready to be launched from the shortcut created on the desktop or the icon in the Start Menu folder.

3 Troubleshooting

If one of the following messages is shown upon startup of the application, one or more font files provided in the folders data\static\fonts or data\dynamic\fonts have been found in the WINDOWS\Fonts folder.
