If you haven’t checked out Cotswold Style TV yet, then you should! Presented by former BBC presenter Eric Barton, Cotswold Style TV is a pioneering new channel, delivering important business messages in a unique way. “It’s a format that has never been tried before, delivering clear and concise business messages within a comedic framework,” says Eric, who was a BBC Continuity Announcer for eight years. “We were very keen to develop a format that has a completely original delivery; the comedy grabs your attention and then delivers important business information. It’s video that people will want to watch.” The edgy format has been well received by Cotswold businesses who have already appeared on Cotswold Style TV, including Beards, Coutts, Brunsdon and Gloucester Quays Designer Outlet. “The format is humorous and edgy while delivering business messages with the gravitas that they deserve. Combined with the magazine it is a powerful marketing tool and stretches business messages beyond the magazine,” says Eric, who is also experienced at stand-up comedy, giving him the unique skillset to deliver the quirky video that Cotswold Style TV is becoming known for. Eric writes the script and presents each episode, keeping to a very strict storyboard that he has created to ensure that filming is concise, keeping costs down to a minimum for customers. “Businesses may have been put off trying television marketing in the past because of the cost, but Cotswold Style TV offers a phenomenal package, with fiming and editing all within an incredibly affordable price,” says Eric. Businesses also receive their interview which they can post onto their own website, Facebook or YouTube for further exposure. “I enjoy delivering a positive business message, especially in the more difficult economic climate we’ve experienced and I’m pleased to report that it’s not all doom and gloom! I’m talking first hand to business leaders in the Cotswolds and they are very positive about the future. Business in the Cotswolds seems to be particularly buoyant.” Eric is skilled at bringing out the best messages from his interviewees, sharing his BBC training and years of experience to prime people before going on camera. “Cotswold Style TV delivers a very informative snapshot of what is happening in local business. “And we’re at all the best events, of course, giving our audience a flavour of what’s going on in the Cotswolds. In the next few months we’ll be covering the second and hugely popular Gloucester Quays Food Festival, which Cotswold Style will be sponsoring. Everyone has really embraced the channel.” Cotswold Style TV is planning its next visits to Cirencester, Cheltenham and Stroud to give a flavour of business in these thriving towns. Behind the camera, up-and-coming film maker Lex Beckett, is the other half of the creative team, delivering fast paced, quick fire TV. “I love the varied nature of filming with Cotswold Style TV. It is great to be delivering important business messages in a creative way.” So, with so much more to come, you’ll be missing out if you don’t watch Cotswold Style TV! Watch this space.
