Saint Patrick is the patron

saint o Ireland. He was born in

Roman England in 387 AD and

was the son o a Christian Deacon.

At the age o 16 he was sold into

slavery by a group o Irish raiders

who attacked his village. Duringhis captivity in Ireland he reported

to have heard God speaking to

him in his dreams. It is believed

that this is where he rst had his

epiphany o converting the Irish to

Christianity. Ater 6 years St. Patrick

escaped home to his amily. Later,

he travelled to a French monasterywhere he studied or twelve years,

beore returning to Ireland to

complete his mission.

He travelled throughout Ireland,

establishing monasteries, churches

and schools to Christianize the

country. He carried out his missionin Ireland or thirty years and died

on March 17 in AD 461. Since then,

that day has been commemorated

as Saint Patrick’s Day

A shamrock was used by Patrick to

explain the Mystery o the Blessed

Trinity to the Ancient High Kings o Ireland.

de dieciséis ue vendido como

hablándole en sus sueños. Se cree

que esta ue la primera vez que

tuvo la epianía de convertir a los

irlandeses al cristianismo. Después

de seis años, San Patricio escapó a

casa con su amilia. Más tarde, viajóa un monasterio rancés donde

estudió durante doce años, antes

de volver a Irlanda a completar su

misión.

Viajó por toda Irlanda estableciendo

monasterios, iglesias y escuelas

para cristianizar el país. Llevó a cabosu misión en Irlanda durante treinta

años y murió el 17 de marzo de 461

a.C. Desde entonces, ese día ha sido

conmemorado como el día de San

Patricio.

Patricio usó un trébol para explicar

el misterio de la Santísima Trinidad a los antiguos reyes de Irlanda.

You have to ollow 3 steps

to pour a perect pint o Guinness:POUR, SETTLE and TOP IT OFF

1) Pour the beer at a 45 degree angle.

The angle is important or the nal

appearance and presentation. You

can put the spout inside the glass,

but as the beer starts to fow, don’t

allow it to touch the spout. Pour it upto about ¾ ull.

2) Then leave it settle or about two

minutes

3) Once the beer has come to rest, the

third step is the most important one

to present the pint. You have to topit up drawing a shamrock by moving

the glass in the shape o the lea as

the beer poured. You’ll see how the

trickle o beer that comes rom the

spout draws the Shamrock’s leaves

on the top o the roth. Try to do it

and, as it’s said in Ireland “ll the pint

until the head is proud o the glass”

Tienes que seguir 3 pasos para tirar una

perecta pinta de Guinness: VERTER,REPOSAR y LLENAR HASTA EL BORDE

1) Vierte la cerveza con un ángulo de 45

grados. El ángulo es importante para

la apariencia nal y la presentación.

Puedes poner el caño dentro del vaso,

pero cuando la cerveza empiece a caer,

no permitas que toque el grio. Viértelahasta llenar unas ¾ partes del vaso.

2) Después déjala reposar durante

unos dos minutos.

3) Una vez que la cerveza ha reposado,

el tercer paso es el más importante

para presentar la pinta. Tienesque rellenarla dibujando un trébol

moviendo el vaso con la orma de la

hoja según va cayendo la cerveza.

Verás cómo el chorro de cerveza

que viene del grio dibuja las hojas

del trébol en la parte de arriba de la

espuma. Prueba a hacerlo y, como se

dice en Irlanda, “rellena la pinta hastaque la espuma esté orgullosa del vaso”

A leprechaun is a small, old, Irish

airy. “Leprechaun” is an old

Irish word meaning

“little body”.

The legend says

that leprechauns

are unriendly,

they live alone

making shoes and

they hide away all

their coins in a pot o

gold at the end o a rainbow. When

the leprechaun

is working

making shoes,

he attracts

treasure

hunters with

the noise o his hammer.

When the

leprechaun

is discovered,

he can be

mistreated to coness

where the pot o gold is hidden,

but the treasure’s hunter must

keep his eyes on the leprechaun

constantly, otherwise the

leprechaun will vanish and the

pot will never be ound.
