EOPS Students,
As this semester comes to a close, reflect on all of the incredible ac-
complishments you have made thus far. Some of you will be starting
a new chapter in your life at a CSU, UC, or private university; a few will
be employed and/or seeking employment after obtaining a certificate
and/or a Associate’s Degree, some will continue following your educa-
tional path at NVC or another community college. Treasure the mem-
ories of this semester; whether you received an “A” on an exam, met a
new friend, discovered a new talent, changed your major, or any other
achievements you may have encountered no matter how small or ex-
treme! There may be many struggles, barriers, and difficult situations
throughout your semesters, but you pushed through. So celebrate!
Many of you are taking classes over the summer and/or working. May
you find some time to spend with friends and family, travel to a favor-
ite destination, read an enjoyable book, see a sunset or sunrise, check
out a new movie, or whatever else brings you joy and a sense of relax-
ation. You deserve it! We wish you a great summer! And hope to see
or hear from you soon.

Some information about the ropes course:
“ Heron Lake Challenge is possibly the most unique and best kept secret located in Napa, CA. The Ropes Challenge Course sits on the shores of 5 acre Heron Lake where participants engage in fun and challenging activities under the branches of ancient Valley Oak trees. We specialize in team building programs for all types of groups….”
“Our course has the necessary knowledge and equipment to specialize in several different areas of Adventure Education…….Adventure Education is based on the idea that people learn most when they are actively involved in their learning. We provide situations where participants can feel a
sense of control and find a relevancy and attractiveness in the material presented.”
