Biodegradable A finished product that can break down or decompose under natural conditions and processes within a restricted period of time e.g. PLA, wood or paper

Renewable The finished product is predominantly manufactured from a naturally occurring raw material that will be replenished through normal ecological cycles e.g. paper, wood or corn.

Recycled The finished product contains an element of recycled material resulting from either post consumer or production waste e.g. recycled polymers or paper.

Energy Efficient Products that have been specifically designed to have a lower impact on the environment, usually by using less energy with the added benefit of lower running costs.

Biodegradable Plastic Cold Cups

These biodegradable cups are clear, rigid and crack-resistant. Made from PLA, the cups will fully decompose back to soil, leaving no toxic residue behind.

PET is Polyethylene Terephthalate. It is strong, impact-resistant and naturally colourless with a high transparency. More importantly, it is 100% recyclable!

PET is Australia's most environmentally friendly plastic. It is disposable via local council, household and community recycling programs.

This recyclable plastic is easily reconstituted into a variety of practical applications, including furniture and clothing.

Nineteen 20oz PET bottles yield enough fibre for an extra large T-shirt, or enough to make one square foot of carpet.

The energy saved by recycling one plastic drink bottle will power a computer for 25 minutes.

This product has been tested and certified under the NMI V 13 which describes the sampling plans and test procedures for the verification and certification of alcoholic beverage measures. All measures used for trade in Australia must be tested in accordance with these test procedures.

PLA is Polylactic Acid. It is a polymer derived from starch-rich plants such as corn and wheat. Starch is broken down into

natural plant sugars which then undergo processes such as fermentation. PLA is made from annually renewable natural

resources; and it is fully compostable in 6-8 weeks in industrial composting facilities.
