Where does the metal go?

• The Environdent program recycles over 3 tons of metal every year – over 130,000 instruments in 2009

• Recycle 12 used instruments of any brand – Prepare 12 used/old/broken/retipped instruments for

shipment to Environdent Recycling Center

– Wrap or secure instruments to prevent instrument rattle during shipment

– IMPORTANT: All instruments must be cleaned and sterilized according to CDC guidelines before shipment. A processed sterilization indicator test strip in a plastic bag along with the instruments or a sealed sterilization pouch is required

A: The HF-115 Kit comes with a pre-addressed shipping box which will be sent to a recycling center. Customers should clean and sterilize all instruments according to CDC guidelines prior to shipping.

A: The HF-115 Kit includes an order form that will provide an area for customers to select the instrument of their choice, and provide customer information. Hu-Friedy will process the free instrument request once it is received by the recycler.
