You should know where you are in your business and then know exactly
where it is that you want to go.

You may be saying to yourself – that sounds
too easy.

It IS that easy – entrepreneurs tend to
have the downfall of over complicating things. It
only has to be hard if you make it that way.

Be the Maestro, Here’s the Steps….

Step 1. Set a revenue goal even if your
business is tiny. (My first revenue goal was $500 for
the month!)

Then when you reach that goal the next month reach for
more.

If you have a bigger business you know what to do – Man Up. Set a revenue goal and work toward it. Then next year you’ll compare the
numbers and you’ll know how much to grow.

Step 2. Close out your business each
month.

Know how much came in and how much went out. I’m not talking about making things
pretty for the accountant either – I’m talking about doing this for YOU, so you
know where you are.

Step 3. Decide how much more business
you need.

What do you need in the business to make it
really work? To make the money you want not just what you need.

Now, let me ask you, besides willing it to be so
what are you doing to make that money? How
strategically are you marketing your business?

Step 4. Get down with the times.

The digital age has taken over. We now receive information
much differently than we did in the past. If you’re still
communicating the same way in a changed world of course you’re going to struggle.

The same rules no longer apply. Accept it and make
changes in your business to accommodate it.

I encourage you just once a month to sit down and take a
few minutes out and just reflect, really consider where
you are in your business.

If you’re unhappy in that place, how long will you
stay there?
