CATALOG DESCRIPTION A first course in biomedical instrumentation. Content includes hospital equipment safety,

biopotentials, electrodes and transducers, the principles of electrocardiographs, pacemakers, defibrillators, IV pumps, catheters and ventilators.

Laboratory experiments on medical circuits will be studied or performed.
