Who is eligible to attend Summer Camps?

Any student who has completed Pre-Kindergarten may register for grade level appropriate camps. Registration is based on the GRADE LEVEL COMPLETED during the 2016-17 school year.

How do I register and pay for classes?

Registration occurs online. You may pay with Master Card, Visa or Discover Card (see details in the box below.)

Can I register through the front office of my child’s

campus?

No. The LTISD Office of Community Programs is responsible for registration and payments. It is important that your registration be processed in a timely manner to ensure preferred camp selection. Registration occurs online. Teachers and campus office staff may not collect payments.

Who is eligible to attend CAVS Course?

Any student who has completed grades 6 -11 may attend the grade level appropriate CAVS Course session.

Do all campers receive a T-shirt?

No. T-shirts are provided at the discretion of camp instructors. In the event that t-shirts are provided for your camp, we request that you list your t-shirt size.

What are the refund guidelines?

We are happy to refund the full amount, less a $10 processing fee, when you cancel in writing via email to [email protected] by MIDNIGHT on May 14. Or, you may hand deliver your written refund request no later than 4:00PM on May 12 to the Office of Community Programs at 3322 Ranch Road 620 South. Fees cannot be prorated for late enrollment, missed classes due to absence or sitting out for misbehavior.

What are your office hours?

Through June 2nd, Community Programs office hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (Monday through Friday.) Beginning June 5th, summer office hours are

7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (Monday through Thursday.)

Are transfers allowed between camps?

No, our payment software does not accommodate the transfer of funds. However, if your child changes his/her preference before the May 14 deadline (midnight), you are welcome to register for a new class. Once you have registered for the new class, you may send an email to request a refund for the first class (minus a $10 processing fee.)

Is there a late pick-up fee?

Yes, please be prompt! Parents who are late picking up their children are subject to late fees ($10 the first minute, $1 each additional minute - per child.)

If you choose to Register after May 29 (or walk in on the first day of camp), a late registration fee of $35 per student (per

camp) will apply, provided space is available. Registering after May 29 is not advisable. For safety reasons, it is best for all

rosters to be set in advance so the instructors may appropri-ately staff and purchase supplies accordingly.

Campers will learn drills that teach the fundamentals of football. Coaches and former players will stress the importance of leadership

skills. The camp will conclude with a Game Day atmosphere, lots of fun and awards for campers. Pads will not be needed. The camp will be

Grades K - 11: CLASSICAL KARATE Fee: $ 175.00 Location: WCHE Gym Camp participants will learn the basics of modern Karate and Tae Kwon Do, while building the foundation needed for self-defense. The camp will focus

on building physical strength, discipline and confidence. Participants will also be introduced to Asian cultures through games, arts and craft during breaks.

Come join Golf in Schools for a fun week of learning golf. Students receive in-depth training in golf swing fundamentals, rules and eti-

quette of the game, as well as critical life-skills like teamwork, goal-setting, and striving for their personal best. Our high-energy and up-beat

camps serve as a great introduction to new players, or are a great opportunity to enhance the skills of students who have played the game. Our

highly-developed curriculum makes learning golf fun for every student!

The LTVB FUNdamental camp covers all aspects of the game of volleyball with an emphasis on fundamentals. The techniques and

skills taught in this camp are designed to provide a strong foundation that allows players to develop into high level athletes as they continue to

play. All skills will be covered including passing, setting, hitting, defense, blocking, serving as well as LTVB offensive and defensive systems.

(Price includes a $20 supply fee)

This camp will introduce new and intermediate tennis enthusiasts to the fundamentals of the game. These will include basic strokes,

scoring, rules, etiquette, sportsmanship, and teamwork. (Price includes a $25 supply fee)

Instructor: Coach Carol Creel and Staff Dates: June 5 - 8 Time: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Grades 2 - 8: HABITS LADY CAVALIER BASKETBALL CAMP Fee: $ 140.00 Location: LTHS Round Gym

Our camp is designed to help everyone from the beginning basketball player to the player looking to make the high school varsity team.

We will cover fundamentals of the game and students will have multiple clinics, games, and competitions. Each camper will receive a t-shirt

and evaluation at the end of camp. (Price includes a $20 supply fee) **See page 20 for the boys’ basketball camps.

Learn the Olympic Sport of Fencing. Drills, exercises, games and bouting to learn stamina, poise, balance, focus, safety and respect.

Learn the fundamentals of Foil, Epee and Sabre.

Grades 4 - 8: LONG DISTANCE RUNNING (Week 1 of 2) Fee: $ 225.00 Location: LTHS Track

Students will learn proper distance training, including log book sessions, running efficiency, workouts and drills, nutrition, etc.

Grades 5 - 7: LTVB ELEVATE YOUR GAME VOLLEYBALL CAMP Fee: $ 140.00 Location: LTHS Round Gym

This camp is for the serious LTISD only middle school volleyball player who wants to elevate her game for the next level, whether it is

for her 7th or 8th grade season. We will work on the strengths and weaknesses of each individual player through various drills and scrimmage

situations. These drills and scrimmage situations will be very similar to what we use at the high school. We will also use video analysis to

show the campers exactly what they are doing well and what they can improve on. (Price includes a $20 supply fee)

The perfect mix for your summer fun; technology and games in the gym. Join us and watch your brains and your muscles grow!

Grades K - 5: GIRLS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN Fee: $ 215.00 Location: SHE Gym

Calling all K-5th grade girls who just want to have fun! We will stay active through dance, cheerleading, gymnastics, jump rope, para-

chute, games, and more. We will stay fashionable by designing our own shirts and tote bags, painting our nails, styling our hair, glitter tattoos,

and making a friendship bracelet. We will focus on making new friends, what it means to be a good friend, and building self-confidence.

(Price includes a $10 supply fee)

Grades 1 - 5: LET THE WATER GAMES BEGIN Fee: $ 130.00 Location: BCE Sports Court

Students will play games on the outside covered sports court like prison ball, fireball, knock out, king of the court, as well as kickball.

We then will move to the grass and play slip n slide down the hill into a rubber baby pool, launch water balloons and play Laser Tag using

squirt guns. The last day a frozen treat will be provided. (Price includes a $10 supply fee)

This camp is for the serious (LTISD only) middle school basketball player who is wanting to improve his game for the next level,

whether it is for his 7th grade season, 8th grade season, or Freshman season. We will work on the strengths and weaknesses of each individual

player through various drills and scrimmage situations. These drills and scrimmage situations will be very similar to what we use at the high

school. We will also use video analysis to show the campers exactly what they are doing well and what they can improve on. This camp is

Four days, three hours each day for 12 total hours in SAT prep. We will focus on the latest College Board practice reading passages and

math problem set sections. The emphasis is on specific SAT test taking skills and test format familiarity, as well as on an approach to proper

attitude. The overall through line is to learn test taking skills that can be applied beyond the SAT experience and into college or university

level studies. (Price includes a $20 supply fee)

This camp is for athletes who have a passion for soccer and have goals of playing soccer at the high school level in the future. Campers

will have the opportunity to train with the high school coaching staff, along with some former players, and to invest time to develop their own

technical and tactical understanding of the game of soccer. Every player will have the opportunity to train at a level that will be competitive

and challenging, thus developing players to their full potential. (Price includes a $10 supply fee)

Lake Travis ISD Community and Athletic Programs

Take advantage of six weeks and improve your overall athleticism. You will improve your strength and maximize your conditioning. Male and female athletes attending LTISD are eligible for attendance and will benefit from this structured strength and conditioning camp. Activities will focus on weight training, flexibility, agility, and speed as well as character development and motivational instruction. The course fee includes a T-shirt and shorts. Registration for course times is based on current grade level placement for the 2016-17 school year.
