Who is eligible to attend Summer Camps?

Any student who has completed Pre-Kindergarten may register for grade level appropriate camps. Registration is based on the GRADE LEVEL COMPLETED during the 2017-18 school year.

How do I register and pay for classes?

Registration occurs online. You may pay with Master Card, Visa or Discover Card, or electronic check (see details in the box below.)

Can I register through the front office of my child’s campus?

No. The LTISD Office of Community Programs is responsible for registration and payments. It is important that your registration be processed in a timely manner to ensure preferred camp selection. Registration occurs online.

Do all campers receive a T-shirt? No. T-shirts are provided at the discretion of camp instructors. In the event that t-shirts are provided for your camp, we request that you list your t-shirt size.

What are the refund guidelines? We are happy to refund the full amount, less a

hand deliver your written refund request no later than 4:00PM on May 11 to the Office of Community Programs at 3322 Ranch Road 620 South. Fees cannot be prorated for late enrollment, missed classes due to absence or sitting out for misbehavior. A $35 CANCELLATION FEE WILL BE CHARGED IF YOU CANCEL AFTER THE DEADLINE.

What are your office hours? Through June 1st, Community Programs office hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (Monday through Friday.) Beginning June 4th, summer office hours are 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (Monday through Thursday.)

Are transfers allowed between camps? No, our payment software does not accommodate the transfer of funds. However, if your child changes his/her preference before the May 13 deadline (midnight), you are welcome to register for a new class. Once you have registered for the new class, you may send an email to request a refund for the first class (minus a $10 processing fee.)

Is there a late pick-up fee? Yes, please be prompt! Parents who are late picking up their children are subject to late fees ($10 the first minute, $1 each additional minute - per child.)

Grades K - 5: CAVALIER FOOTBALL CAMP Fee: $ 130.00 (includes $10 supply fee) Location: LTHS CAC Campers will learn drills that teach the fundamentals of football. Coaches and former players will stress the importance of leadership skills. The camp will conclude with a Game Day atmosphere, lots of fun and awards for campers. Pads will not be needed. This camp is Wed-Fri.

Instructor: Coach Hank Car ter and Staff Dates: June 6, 7, 8 Time: 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. What to wear: Appropr iate workout attire, cleats, baseball cap What to bring: Sunscreen, water will be provided (No Maximum)

Grades 6 - 8: OFFENSIVE/DEFENSIVE LINEMAN CAMP Fee: $ 130.00 (includes $10 supply fee) Location: LTHS CAC

Campers will learn skills and drills for offensive and defensive line. LTISD coaches will stress the importance of proper fundamentals and will begin teaching the offensive and defensive systems used by the Lake Travis HS Football Team. This camp will be fun and teach kids about line play. Pads will not be needed. This camp is Wed-Fri.

Grades K - 6: CAVALIER SOFTBALL CAMP Fee: $ 130.00 (includes $10 supply fee) Location: LTHS Softball Field This camp will focus on the fundamentals of hitting, throwing and fielding. The campers will play games and learn the importance of having fun while playing the game of softball. This camp is Mon-Wed. Water will be provided.

Instructor: Coach Billy Coleman and Staff Dates: June 4, 5, 6 Time: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. What to wear: Softball pants, cleats What to bring: Glove, bat, sunscreen (if you have them) (catcher’s gear, if you are a catcher) (Maximum: 125)

Grades 3 - 9: LADY CAVS BASKETBALL CAMP Fee: $ 140.00 (includes $20 supply fee) Location: LTHS Main Gym Girls basketball camp for incoming 3rd through 9th. In this camp we will work on fundamentals and skill work. We will have competitions with prizes, team play and lots of fun! **See page 18 for the boys’ basketball camps.

Grades 1 - 7: CAVALIER TENNIS CAMP Fee: $ 140.00 (includes $20 supply fee) Location: LTHS Tennis Courts The Cavalier Tennis Camp will introduce players to the basic strokes, techniques, scoring and etiquette for the game of tennis. Players will be divided into instructional groups based on ability and prior experience.

Grades 1 - 7: LTVB FUNDAMENTAL VOLLEYBALL Fee: $ 140.00 (includes $20 supply fee) Location: LTHS Main Gym The LTVB FUNdamental camp covers all aspects of the game of volleyball with an emphasis on fundamentals. The techniques and skills taught in this camp are designed to provide a strong foundation that allows players to develop into high level athletes as they continue to play. All skills will be covered including passing, setting, defense, blocking, serving as well as LTVB offensive and defensive systems.

Grades PK - K: CLASSICAL KARATE Fee: $ 175.00 Location: WCHE Gym Camp participants will learn the basics of modern Karate and Tae Kwon Do, while building the foundation needed for self-defense. The camp will focus on building physical strength, discipline and confidence. Participants will also be introduced to Asian cultures through games, arts and craft during breaks. Students receive in-depth training in golf swing fundamentals, rules and etiquette of the game, as well as critical life skills like teamwork, goal-setting and striving for their personal best. Our high energy and upbeat camps serve as a great introduction to new players, or are a great opportunity to enhance the skills of students who have played the game. Our highly-developed curriculum makes learning golf fun for every student! Is your child a budding musician? If so, this is his or her opportunity to try a violin, viola, cello or the bass! Learn form, technique and a few songs. The students will have fun, play games, and make new friends! Parents are invited to a short recital on the last day of camp. Campers may bring their own instruments, or one will be provided for them.

Grades 6 - 7: LT DANCE INTENSIVE Fee: $ 205.00 Location: LTMS Gym/Dance Studio This camp is for current LTMS Jazz Co. members, and any student considering trying out for middle school dance. Challenge yourself in an environment that encourages not only the individual dancer but promotes the importance of teamwork as well. Students will learn a jazz, pom, kick and a variety of dance styles, while focusing on flexibility, technical skills, teamwork and performance.

The purpose of this camp is to provide an opportunity for both girls and boys to learn and develop the technical skills associated with soccer (dribbling, passing, and shooting) and to teach how to incorporate these with the rest of a team. We hope campers come ready to build on their love of the game of soccer, while at the same time embracing the expectations of athletes who wish to continue playing soccer through the high school level. We seek to expand on player strengths and address any problem areas in order to create a better-rounded athlete by the end of our camp.

Lake Travis ISD Community and Athletic Programs

Take advantage of six weeks and improve your overall athleticism. You will improve your strength and maximize your conditioning. Male and female athletes attending LTISD are eligible for attendance and will benefit from this structured strength and conditioning camp. Activities will focus on weight training, flexibility, agility, and speed as well as character development and motivational instruction. The course fee includes a T-shirt and shorts. Registration for course times is based on current grade level placement for the 2017-18 school year.
