Donkey and slowly rolled

a turnip up the hill to

Donkey’s house.

When Goat, returned

home with a cabbage .He

saw the turnip by the door

and thought it must be

belonging to Deer. So he

rolled the turnip to Deer’s

house. And went back

home.

When Donkey returned

home she was having a

potato with her and when

she saw a turnip she thought

potato is enough for her so

she should take this turnip

to the Goat

When Deer came back with a

carrot she saw a turnip and

thought it was gifted to her by

someone .But she was having food

to eat ,so she thought to give it to

Rabbit. She kept the turnip near

Rabbit’s door when he was

sleeping.

Next morning when Rabbit woke up, he saw the turnip lying by the door and

he thought how could the turnip come back to him again.

INTRODUCTION TO LOGO

To give instructions to the computer we have to learn itslanguage.The computer does not understand our language.It hasits own language known as computer language.There are manycomputer languages.Let’s start with LOGO language.

LOGO stands for Language of Graphics Oriented.It is alsocalled as the Turtle’s Language.

It is one of the easiest computer programming languages.

We can perform various functions like drawing figures,typingtext and performing mathematical calculations using LOGO.

Starting MSW LOGO:

Follow the simple steps to start MSW LOGO.

1. Click on the Start button and choose All Programs.2. Click on Microsoft Windows Logo, a menu will open.3. Click on OK button .The MSW Logo window appears onthe screen.

This is the icon of MSW Logo.

COMPONENTS OF A LOGOWINDOW:

MSW Logo screen is divided into two parts:

1. Main Screen or Graphic Screen2. Commander Window.

1.Main Screen: The upper part of Logo screen is called as MainScreen or Graphic Screen.

Turtle:A triangular shape figure in the centre of the screen whichfollows our commands is called as the Turtle.It has two parts –Head and Tail. It moves in all directions : forward, backward ,left and right .The turtle has a set of pens . When it moves itdraws lines.When we start Logo ,the Turtle presents in thecentre of the screen which is called the Home of the Turtle. Inthe graphics screen we can see the drawings made by the Turtle.

Title Bar: It tells us what window we are looking at.

Menu Bar: It contains different menus which help us to makethe Logo turtle do our work.

3. Commander Window: The lower part of the Logo screen isthe commander Window.It is divided into three parts.

a) Command Input Box:It is the white space where we typeLOGO Commands.

b) Recall List Box:It records and displays all the commandsthat we have typed in the Command Input Box.

c) Command Buttons:Various buttons are available on thecommand window.They help us to work with LOGO.They areHalt,Trace,Pause,Status,Step,Reset,Execute and Edall.
