OBJECTIVE : This course is designed to imbibe importance of English - the global language, in the service sector and will provide with the skills required to speak in the same language confidently emphasizing on the grammatical correctness and its application in various situations. PART I: Importance of English as a language in the hospitality industry: Basic manners, use of please, sorry, thank you. Wishing and greeting etiquette. General conversational skills. Code of conduct: PART II: Basic Grammar: Nouns/pronouns Verbs/forms of verbs Singular/plural Tenses: present, past & future Adjectives Modals: can, could, will, would etc. Antonyms/Synonyms/Homonyms
PART III: Reading aptitude / speaking skills: Story reading News paper reading Story telling Extempore Group discussions PART IV: Writing skills: Drafting a Resume/C.V. Writing Cover letter/ application/ request letters etc. Writing notices/memorandums/ minutes of the meeting etc. PART V: Interview skills: Self/family introduction Facing the interviewer confidently Body language Group discussions F.A.Qs.
