O’FALLON CHAMBER CELEBRATES 60 YEARS OF HELPING BUSINESSES

ight at Home of St. Charles is owned and operated by Kirsten Pahde and Peggy Langdon, offers in-home care and assistance to

seniors and disabled adults to help them live independently. They opened their doors on Feb. 2007and are located in O’Fallon in the Rock Creek Plaza. Right at Home was voted the #1 Home Care Company in St. Charles County in 2010, 2011, and 2012 in the Suburban Journal reader’s poll.

Oscar and Lady are the offi ce mascots and greet everyone who enters the offi ce with their tails wagging. Kristen was the CFO of her father’s business for 20 years prior to starting Right at Home.

Peggy is married to Dennis Langdon and has two daughters, Kelly Adams and Maddie Langdon and proud to say that Maddie is currently serving in the US Navy. They have three grandchildren and three furry babies. Peggy was the Director of Operations for another in home care company for 3 years prior to opening the door of Right at Home of St. Charles.

Kirsten and Peggy’s goal is to make a difference in the lives of senior and disabled adults to have a quality of live

by hiring exception caregivers to create a transformation in their daily living. Finding the right caregivers is one of the most arduous aspect if their business. Many hours are expended in the hiring and orientation process. One important tool has been added over the last few years have been providing ongoing in house training for offi ce and fi eld staff. Web based training modules including test are also available to fi eld staff to take at their convenience.

Services are designed for individuals who want to maintain an independent lifestyle, but who need assistance with daily activities, whether from aging, surgery, illness, disability, or a loss of a spouse, partner or caregiver. Right at Home also provides respite to those caring for an aging parent or those who live a distance from an aging parent. Often, seniors are afraid to ask for help or to admit that they are slowing down because they do not wish to leave their homes or move into a facility.

Our services include assistance with personal care, light housekeeping, medication reminders, meal preparation, transportation, shopping, errands and companionship. We provide as little as one hour and as much as 24 hour care, as well as live-in and sleepover services. Right at Home tailors its care to an individual’s needs.

With the baby boomers on the rise and

Right at Home carries insurance and worker’s compensation coverage and performs a background check on its employees, including criminal and abuse registries, motor vehicle, and professional licensing. We hire and train individuals who want to provide only the highest level of care. Our caregivers go above and beyond in making sure they meet the needs of every client they assist. We answer our phone live 24/7/365.

See what our clients are saying about us:• Right at Home goes the extra step with their clients to provide quality caregivers, which is rare in the environment today. They provide a personal, hands-on relationship with each and every person they care for - starting from the fi rst day working with the client - when they personally visit their home. -Dan B.

• Your Right at Home caregiver was wonderful. She was so helpful - and after working with many agencies - was the best caregiver from any agency that we had in the past year! -Sandy B.

Progress West HealthCare Center announces name change

Progress West HealthCare Center, St. Charles County’s only acute care hospital along I-64/40 in O’Fallon, is pleased to announce it has a new name: Progress West Hospital. The patient-centered mission, vision and values will remain the same, as will the highly-qualifi ed physicians, nurses and team members. Progress West’s name change celebrates its mission and brings attention to the essential services it provides to our community.

“Over the past year, we’ve been conducting extensive market research in St. Charles County,” says Barbara McLaurine, manager, marketing and communications. “Consumers and patients expressed their confusion regarding the term ‘healthcare center’ and voiced their understanding that ‘hospitals’ are full-service, treat more serious needs, have
