EnergyCam makes it possible to significantly lower the expenditure involved in consumption readout, to log energy data in an ongoing manner, to trans- mit that data error-free thanks to digitalization, and to further process data without incurring media interruption. Accordingly, EnergyCam makes an im- portant contribution to meeting the energy management requirements laid out in DIN/ISO 50001. EnergyCam is mounted directly onto the meter, without having to use tools or interfere with the meter itself. EnergyCam is configured using an integrated installation guide, and then simply affixed to the electricity or gas meter via adhesive strips, where it then automatically reads the meter counts at prede- fined intervals using the integrated camera and digitalizes the information. Depending on the configuration chosen, the data is forwarded wirelessly or via cable and, independent of location, becomes available for further analysis and processing using resources like SAP, Excel, or dashboards. Q-loud’s retrofit approach means there is no need to perform replacements or physical modi-fications to the existing equipment infrastructure. EnergyCam can simply be integrated into an existing network as part of an M-Bus installation. The meter levels logged are transmitted to the central M-Bus master and then become available for further processing using resources such as SAP, Excel, dashboard visualization, and apps.
