PLEXOS Preliminary Results
PLEXOS has been verified against 2008 and 2009 data and found to be accurate Prediction is now possible based on system responses and market factors & demands
Things to do next
• DSM – Optimise an advanced compact thermal store (phase change materials), test with the heat pump and integrate into the test houses
• Auto-Producer – Integrate new 50kWh module and assess ice bank efficiency
• CAES – Drilling under way, structural engineering of cavern design => cavern size, turbine/compressor sizes, storage capacity and system selection.
• PLEXOS – Scenarios agreed with steering committee, enactment and iteration depending on above results => potential market volumes and values
