What is Energy Harvesting?

● According to the institute of physics:

Energy harvesting, or energy scavenging, is a process that captures small amounts of energy that would otherwise be lost as heat, light, sound, vibration or movement



Huge amounts of energy come to us from the Sun



Some get stored in the wind!



Some get stored in the water!



Some get stored in ...

● Chemical energy – Petrolium, Coal, Gas, Plants

● Heat energy – Hot Earth!

● Potential Energy - Clouds



Another source is Nuclear Energy!



Plants have learned harvesting long time ago!



We also learned ...



Getting some of the potential energy ...



Some of the wind energy



Some of the heat energy



Some of the sea currents energy



And so much of the Chemical Energy



Yet, so much of the energy

around us is not easily

accessible!



Let's just look at ourselves!



Have you ever walked?!



Ran?



Climbed stairs?



Or carried a backpack?



As you do all this, a lot of energy is used!



Some can be reused!
