se The 6°C Scenario (an extension of current trends)
The 2°C Scenario (would give an 80% chance of limiting average global temperature increase to 2°C)
Energy-efficient industry, buildings and transportation could reduce the world's projected energy needs in 2050 by one third.
5
Joint effort for creating a competitive, energy efficient and environmental friendly industry for the future
HighEFF Vision
Spearhead the development of emerging, energy efficient and cross-sectorial technologies for the industry with the purpose to:
1. Support industry to meet the EU target of 40 % reduction in greenhouse gases and at least 27 % increase in energy efficiency by 2030
2. Increase the competitiveness of Norwegian industry through development of energy and cost efficient plant operations, energy recovery and utilization of surplus heat*
3. Enable 27 % reduction in energy use in the Norwegian industry by 2030
4. Enable competence building and recruiting of experts within energy efficiency*
Objectives
* 15 innovations, 35 Spin-off projects, 18 PhD
