Enerco High Speed Doors More than just a door

Competent AdviceEnerco high speed doors are designed for applications where they will receive intensive use. By virtue of their operating speed and automatic operation with built in safety, they dramatically reduce draughts and temperature loss as well as optimising traffic flow. They significantly reduce energy costs and create a more comfortable working environment. Productivity is also improved due to drastically reduced operating times.

JustificationA typical roller shutter or sectional overhead door measuring 4000mm x 4000mm takes about 80 seconds to complete its operating cycle. Typical daily usage will mean that the door is open in excess of three hours per day. Often the aggravation of opening and closing this type type of door means it will be left open all day.

The SolutionA high speed door operating at up to 2.5 m/s with a pause time in the opening position of 5 seconds would mean that the door would be shut for a minimum of 2.5 hours more per day.

To combat the impact of carbon emissions, the government is supporting plans for commercial organisations to reduce the amount of energy they use by up to 20% each year.

Whether the temperature to be maintained is hot, cold or ambient, open doorways will result in higher energy consumption. Where sectional and roller shutter doors are installed, companies should consider the installation of high speed doors to meet with the above climate change legislation proposals, reduce their energy costs, by offering a high speed door system which is fully automated and designed to meet your individual operational requirements.

The colour range has 6 standard colours in 1300gsm Red RAL3002, White RAL9010, Blue RAL5002, Yellow RAL1003, Orange RAL2004, Light Grey RAL7035. Other colours are available in 900gsm Green RAL6026, Beige RAL1015, Light Blue RAL5012, Dark Grey RAL7037, Medium Grey RAL7042, Silver RAL9006. All steel components are supplied as standard in galvanised steel with optional powder coating.

Curtain Characteristics

Manufactured from polyester reinforced, colour impregnated PVC with high resistance to tear and discolouration. Specially designed pockets and ribs are welded to the curtain for stability and wind resistance. Clear PVC sections are included to provide vision and maximise safety around the doorway. The complete curtain is high frequency welded including the vision sections. Standard curtains are supplied with 2 rows of vision panels however larger full width and height sections can be supplied.

Options included printed logos or instructions / warnings such as “Restricted Access” etc.
