VIST 205 Clay Model

Our first project in VIST 205 was to sculpt an abstract model out of clay that represented the theme of a group animation. My group’s theme was “dark versus light”, so I sculpted this clay model, which I then photographed under colored lighting.

We then recreated our clay model in Maya as close as possible, matching the lighting and the camera angles from the previous pictures.

My group and I composited the finished model in an underwater scene from a group animation to combine the physical model with CG.
