Peeking At WoW: CataclysmNo single person on our planet can deny that ‘The World of Warcraft’ has changed gaming as we know it. It has been over 6 years now since the release of this game and i am happy to say that it is still go-ing on strong. Recently and im talking about a week or two ago, Bliz-zard launched the 3rd and hopefully not the last ex-pansion for WoW. Cataclysm has changed the very founda-tion of the game. Bringing on a new playable races, a new profession, an increased level-ing cap and many more juicy suprises. As a player of this game you have to choose ei-ther the Alliance side and play as a Night Elf, Human, Dwarf, Gnome, Draenei and or Wor-gen. On the other hand you can also choose to play as a Horde character at which your options will be the following: Orc, Troll, Tauren, Forsaken, Blood Elf and or Goblin.

The World is at war. Both factions strive for supremacy over the continents of Az-eroth. But a prime evil has resurfaced, the Dragon as-pect of Earth has returned. After being driven mad by the Old Gods, Neltharion AKA ‘Death-Wing’ has be-come mind bent on destroy-ing all life on Azeroth. Now self-proclaimed ‘The Aspect of Death’ he and his black dragon flight burn all that you hold dear. It is left in the hands of you and your fellow

heroes to combat this evil and bring an ever lasting peace for you chosen faction. Think you can handle the pressure of chosing a side?

Many of us here at ‘GG!!’ play the World of Warcraft and we just could not stand by and let this issue be plagues by only the undead. So for all the World of Warcraft fans out there we hope to see you around and if

the Gods of Azeroth will it, we hope to strike down the evil side by side. *cough* Not un-der working hours of course... *Looks around for the Boss*

Plants Vs Zombies

VSPlants vs Zombies is a game based on the system dubbed ‘Tower Defense’, the game is very easy to understand. A zombie apocalypse has begun unlike the gruesome ones we are used to seeing in movies or other games these zombies bring quite the fun image to the undead family. The setting is placed upon 5 different map types: The Front Lawn, The Back Lawn (Which strangly enough has a pool which randomly shows up in dif-ferent maps), The Night Lev-els, The Night Levels with a bad case of Fog and The Roof.

The Gameplay is very fun and simple. You have 5 rows of lawn in the earlier levels and later on get a 6th, which in-cludes 2 rows of pool in which believe it or not the still cross with rubber duck bands, zombie dol-phines or even snorkels. All the while you need to gather sun power which conveniently fall from the sky and pop out of Sunflowers, taken in that you have planted some. The sun power can be used to plant more plants, rocks, cherry bombs and other wonderfully explosive or damaging plants that blast, squick, shoot, stomp, freeze, slow... Wel you get the idea, its indeed a Plant vs Zombie Mayhem. It does not take long for someone to

understand the mechanics of the game thus making this little bundle of sun powered joy a treat for every single member of the family. Later on during the later levels one must utilize all the tactics learned during the previous experiences. As the zombie army grows one can buy addi-tional plant slots and upgrade

corn-cobs into cob-cannons which act like corn-powered nukes that de-stroy all that of the undead with a single, but big BOOM.

Don’t worry though if things get a little tough there is al-ways that last line of defense ready to boost your moral and or give the people inside the house a chance to keep their brains out of the hands of those cunning yet funny undead. Yes, i am indeed talk-

ing about the lawn mower. If a zombie manages to breach your defenses the lawn mower will mow down all zombies within said lane. Beware, once the lawn mower is activated it won’t be replaced for the re-mainder of that Level.

Besides the campaign one can also play various mini-games at the start and later on unlock more as you prog-ress through the various levels of the campaign. Collecting

money to upgrade plants at ‘Crazy Dave’s Shop’ and Seeds which can be put in you ‘Zen Garden’. Here you can water your plants and give them some TLC untill they grow in won-derful plants. Something a bit more relaxing than constant clicking during a zombie invasion.

Recettear

VSRecettear is a story of a young girl who’s father left her with a debt which would make even the richest of people go blind with rage. But this young lady, with the help of a loan-shark fairy, start an Item Shop in order to pay back her fathers debt. Based on the widely known and popular Japanese Ani-mation style, makes this game suited for the younger audience or big ‘Anime’ Fans out there. The mechanics of this game is simple but requires minor math knowledge to fully un-derstand. Once you acquire an item you can place it on display in your item shop and as soon as you open the doors various figures will walk in and possible buy the items you have in stock. There are vari-ous ways to get items some more ‘dangerous’ then others.

The easiest way to get items and ultimately sell enough to cover you debts is to enter a dungeon. Be-fore you do so you will have to hire a mercenary to help you on your way. These come in various shapes and sizes at which you take control of them and slash away at monters, goblins and even the undead whom after defeat drops items which you can pick up and place in your shop once you back home.

Further along the story, after managing to pay off weekly debts which increase each week. You are able to ex-

pand your shop and buy more counters, vending machines, car-pets, wallpaper the whole sha-bang. It is indeed a game where you manage all

aspects of your Item Shop. The game in itself is un-ending, once you have managed to complete the game by paying back the entire debt you can choose to continue in ‘Infinite Mode’ in which you keep managing your shop without hav-ing to pay back any debts. Or you could try the hard mode in which the debt

is infinite and increases each week. This mode is called ‘Sur-vival’. How long do you think you can last?

All in all it is a good game which infinite play time and different ways of play-style. Once you have raised your ‘Merchant

Level’ customers will try to sell things to you and others wil start to place orders in ad-vance. It is of course totally up to the player if you wish to provide these people with whatever it is they need. How could anyone stay angry at the cute young lady who manages the Item Shop ‘Recettear’.
