Grade 3/4s know how to RECYCLE and

pack a NUDE FOOD LUNCH!

One day’s worth of food scraps

from grade 3/4

One day’s worth of ¾ rubbish heading

to landfill causing devastating green-

house gases.

One day’s worth of recycla-

ble material from grade 3/4

This term in our awesome Grade 3/4 learning team we have been learning about ‘Reduce, Reuse and Re-

cycle’. We have done a research project about looking after our planet, we are making recycled art piec-

es, we have been collecting cans to raise money for Planet Ark and we visited Western Waste Manage-

ment to see what happens to all our rubbish!

Now, with all our new knowledge about how bad rubbish is for the environment, we would like to en-

courage all of our school community to try to pack NUDE FOOD LUNCHBOXES!

Here are some advantages for packing NUDE FOOD lunches:

It’s great for the environment, which is great for EVERYONE! It’s healthier food to be eating

It’s cheaper

To pack a nude food lunch:

Buy food without excess packaging (raw food is best)

Buy a lunchbox with compartments

Buy larger packets which can be distributed into smaller, reusable containers.

Grade 3/4

busy sorting

out our

rubbish

Grade 3/4 team

were very upset

by our rubbish.
