Dear Friends, We're getting close! I just received the latest report on this year's Annual Catholic Appeal pledges and dona-tions: St. Mary's total is $72,730 (84% of our $86,309 goal) and St. Anne total is $12,145 (78% of our %15,537 goal). Thank you to all who have contributed and made a pledge! If you haven't yet done so please take a few minutes this week to help with this important effort. Pledge cards and envelopes can be put in the collection plate or you can make your pledge online or by smartphone. Information is in this bulletin or call the St. Mary office for assistance. This coming Saturday, June 18, you are invited to a very special Father's Day dinner in the St. Mary social hall from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.. This is a great opportunity to honor fathers and for me and Karin to get to know you all a little better. I hope to see you all there! Here's the word I have from Rene and Lina Cruz about this wonder-ful event: Flyers are posted on all the church bulletin boards. Tickets for the above event are on sale after masses for $15.00 per person. Menu: Prime Rib, Vegetable Medley, Herbed Red Potatoes. Pasta Primavera is available for Vegetarians. Proceeds to benefit St Mary’s general fund. Finally, we at St. Mary and St. Anne have two important feast days coming up: July 26 is the Memorial of Saints Joachim and Anne, Parents of the Blessed Virgin Mary and August 15 is the Solemnity of the Assump-tion of the Blessed Virgin Mary. If you are interested in helping to plan festivities celebrating our patron saints please contact the St. Mary office. It's time to start getting ready! In Christ, Fr. Tom

Weekly message from your St. Vincent de Paul conference for St. Mary and St. Anne In the Gospel we see how Jesus was moved with pity and said to the widow, “Do not cry,” and the people knew that “God had visited his people.” When you hear the cries of the poor and reach out to help them, deep in their hearts the poor know that “God has visit-ed them.”
