    1.0.0 EQUIPMENT Supply, Erection, Testing, Commissioning and Handing over of following

    electrical equipment as per scope of work detailed below.

    (a) The entire work shall be carried out as per details given in various specifications, data sheets, drawings, documents, etc enclosed, relevant Indian

    standards, regulations, code of practices, requirements of various statutory bodies, manufacturer's instruction manuals of individual equipment and as directed by owners representatives. All equipment included in the supply scope of the owner shall be made available in the stores at FACT CD, Ambalamedu/ at site stores.

    (b) The supply scope shall include design, manufacture, shop testing, inspection, packing, forwarding, delivering at site, submission of documents like drawings, catalogues, manuals, manufacturers test certificates, guaranteeing performance, etc as applicable and supply of commissioning spares, cable glands, cable lugs, cable terminal/adapter box to terminate higher size cables, as required for the equipment supplied. The equipment /item shall be supplied by contractor after obtaining necessary approval from purchaser/FEDO on make, quantity, type etc. For all items the right to witness shop testing by FEDO/Owner representative is reserved.

    (c) The erection scope shall include transportation from stores at FACT CD, Ambalamedu/ from site stores, handling at site, storage, inspection, safe custody, unpacking, checking of components of supply equipment/items, listing and handing over of short supplied items to site-in- charge, assembly of sections and loose parts supplied along with the equipment, fixing and grouting of foundation channels supplied by the equipment manufacturer/ Supply, fixing and grouting of foundation channels with necessary hardwares like foundation bolts, Nuts, washers etc as per the drawings of equipment/Panel manufacturer/ as per the drawings from FEDO and as per the instructions of Engineer in Charge. If required, the M.S. structure on which the H.T. Panels to be erected shall be carried out with Beams/Channels etc.and as per the specification and drawings from FEDO. In case of supply of M.S. steel as above from the Contractor side , the quantity for such Supply, Erection, fabrication and painting of M.S. steel structures and foundations with steel involved are included in item 5.1.0 and the applicable rate shall be as per the item 5.1.0 mentioned in this Schedule of item

    of works. The supply of M.S steel shall be of TISCO make only. The inter panel wiring, checking of wiring as per manufacturer's drawing, rewiring and interlock wiring if any required, minor civil works, touch up painting, painting feeder details, making bolt holes for supporting/fixing, etc as directed by site-in- charge. All concealed /flush mounting work shall be done in coordination with civil work. No separate charges shall be applicable for chipping walls and other surfaces for concealing or flush mounting electrical items and restoring the surface to original finish.

    The scope shall also include supply of erection materials such as bolts, nuts, washers, paint, cement, sand, etc wherever required. The erection charges indicated below shall include Testing, Commissioning and Handing over including submission of site test certificates. The contractor shall carry out all pre commissioning tests at site in all equipments covered under the scope of this contract as per relevant standards and as directed by Engineer in charge. Primary and secondary injection tests on relays and meters shall be carried out by the contractor. The erection rate indicated below shall be applicable also for equipment /item if any issued by FEDO/Owner.

    (d) Unless otherwise specified, spares for operation, associated cabling, earthing,

    cable terminations, not mentioned above are excluded from the scope of following items.

    1.8.0 Bus trunking - 433V, 3 phase and neutral bus trunking between 11/0.433 KV,1600 KVA Power transformers-3&4 and PCC at W.I.Q-10 berth substation and between 11/0.433 KV,750 KVA Dry type transformer-1 and PMCC at W.I. Ammonia Handling substation complete with all accessories such as main run including bends, flexible connection, wall frame assembly, phase transposition within the enclosure/adapter chamber, to match phase sequence of switch boards and transformers as required, adaptor chamber/terminating flange connection at transformers and associated 415 V switch boards, supports etc as per the specifications enclosed.

    The length indicated below is the approximate/ estimated centre line length from transformer flange to PCC, including bend, flexible etc. Contractor shall measure actual length /route at site prior to manufacture and supplied as per actual installation requirement at site

    3.0.0. EARTHING 3.1.0 Supply, Erection, Testing, Commissioning and Handing over of following earth

    conductors. The cable shall be supplied by the purchaser. Cable supply mentioned below as optional shall be supplied in case of requirement only and shall be as per the instruction of the Engineer in charge/Owner. . The scope of work shall be as noted below.

    (a) See 1.0.0 (a)above for general requirements (b) See 1.0.0 (b)above for supply scope (c) The erection scope shall include transportation from FACT-CD Stores

    at Ambalamedu/ site stores, handling at site, storage, inspection, safe custody, unpacking, termination, jointing, supply of hardware materials required for erection/ termination / jointing/ connection such as brass bolts, nuts, washers, lugs, etc as required. The scope shall also include laying, dressing, fixing on cable trays /racks /risers /structures /columns /walls, trenches, pipes, etc, making terminal extension strip(copper) for end connection, making bolt holes, jointing, welding, riveting, bracing, termination, fixing lugs, anticorrosive coating, etc as required.

    The jointing of earth conductors shall be by bolting/welding/bracing, etc as indicated in attached drawings. The welded portion shall be covered with bitumen compound. The erection charges indicated below shall include Testing, Commissioning and Handing over including submission of site test certificates. The erection rate indicated below shall be applicable for earth conductors if any issued by purchaser.

    (d) The scope shall also include supply of fixing clamps, binding wires, lugs, anticorrosive paint, bitumen, cement etc as required. Separate rates shall be applicable for structural supports, excavation and refilling if any are required for laying the earth conductors.

    (e) The conductor sizes indicated are the minimum requirement. The rates quoted shall be valid for the next standard size available with no extra cost. The quantities indicated being of preliminary nature, contractor shall assess the actual

    The fan hooks, opening for exhaust fans & AC sets etc if any shall be installed/made in coordination with the civil contractor during construction so that disturbances to ceilings and walls can be avoided or minimised. The surfaces where disturbances are made due to unavoidable reasons shall be resorted to the original finish without any extra cost to the purchaser.

    5.1.0 Supply, fabrication, erection, fixing, epoxy painting and handing over of structural steel items as per drawings enclosed for cable tray,racks, risers and tray supports, pedestals, lighting fixture supports, DB supports, supports for other equipment, etc as required. The painting shall be with two coats of epoxy paint over 2 coats of suitable epoxy primer. The scope of work shall be as noted below

    (a) See (a) of 1.0.0 above (b) The supply scope shall include supply of MS steel sections of various sizes

    as required. Supply of M.S. steel shall be of TISCO make only. For other requirements see 1.0.0 (b) above

    (c) The erection scope shall include transportation, handling at site, storage, inspection, safe custody, welding, cutting, making bolt holes, painting with two coats of epoxy paint over 2 coats of suitable epoxy primer after cleaning with wire brush including supply of paint, etc. Chipping, cement grouting, replastering of walls, floors, ceilings, columns etc. of concrete or brick work for supporting the structural items, supply of structural items, bolts, nuts, washers, cement, sand, etc. are also included in the scope of the work. The bolts, nut, washers shall be of GI. The rate indicated below shall be applicable also for structural if any issued by PUCHASER.

    (d) The concrete footing for supports shall be extra under separate item as indicated elsewhere. Payment shall be made on the basis of measurement of dimensions of structural steel items actually installed multiplied by the unit weight applicable for various sections.

    1.0 INTRODUCTION

    This requisition is issued for the supply (as the case may be), installation/erection, testing, commissioning and handing over of the various electrics for Power System Modification Work at Wellignton Island Q-10 Berth and Ammonia Handling substations and the FACT W.I. installations as per enclosed details, specifications, data sheets, Schedule of Items of work, drawings, etc.

    1.1 The project site is well connected by road & rail to the other parts of the country. 2.0 SCOPE OF WORK

    2.1.0 The Scope of this requisition covers supply of items (as the case may be), transportation of

    items from owners store at FACT-CD,Ambalamedu to site, storage, safe custody, transportation and handling at site, installation, testing, commissioning, vendor drawing submission & its approval, preparation and submission of drawings/documents and handing over of the electrics to the entire satisfaction of consultant/owner as per enclosed details, specifications, data sheets, Schedule of Items of Work, drawings, relevant standards etc.

    2.1.1 The electrics include the following but not limited to:

    - Installation, Testing and Commissioning of 2 Nos. 11 KV switchboards and 1 No. 3.3 KV Switch board at W.I. Q-10 Berth substation.

    - Installation, Testing and Commissioning of 2 Nos. of 1600 KVA,11/3.3 KV and 2

    the railways, Central/State Electrical inspectorates and other statutory agencies/bodies in getting approval for the execution of work and the fees if any remitted for getting these approvals will be reimbursed on submission of receipts.

    - Preparation of As built drawings.

    2.1.2 MS structural required for fabrication of cable trays & structural supports (shall be of TISCO make only) and cement required for miscellaneous civil works shall be arranged by the Contractor

    2.1.3 As the work is a power system modification work in the existing operating process and

    Material handling systems all the works shall be carried out under the strict supervision of Engineer in Charge/Owner and without affecting the safety of personnel, Equipments, Systems etc. and with least disturbance to the normal operation of the plant/Systems.

    2.1.4 It is the duty of the Contractor to ensure that the operation of motors, pumps and other

    equipments are not affected with the modification work carried out and shall comply all the safety procedures and statutory requirements for the Hazardous and Non-hazardous areas accordingly.

    2.1.5 The work is to be carried out in a phased and staggered manner and in close co-ordination with the Engineer in charge/Owner at the available work fronts and with least disturbance to plant operations.

    2.2.0 WORK DETAILS 2.2.1 Civil work pertaining to W.I. Q-10 Berth Substation and Ammonia Handling Substation shall

    be under Purchaser/owners scope. 2.2.2 Other miscellaneous civil work associated with the installation work such as excavation,

    dewatering, refilling of earth, dismantling of wall, removal of tree root, if any, etc for earth pits & burying of cables, cable trays overhead and within cable trench, Fixing various supports for Push button stations, light fittings, Cable tray supports, cable marker paving over buried cables/trenches, chipping, grouting etc. shall be included in contractors scope.

    2.2.3 All structural steel associated with erection of electrics such as equipment and Panel

    erection, cabling, earthing and lightning protection, supporting arrangement etc, shall also be under contractors scope.

    2.2.4 All structural and civil work executed shall fully meet the requirements intended and shall

    conform to sound engineering practice. In case of any doubt on stability and load bearing capacity of structures required for the erection work, the contractor has to furnish the design details of the same and got it approved from Owner/Purchaser.

    2.2.5 Installation work is inclusive of supply of erection materials, hardware, consumables and

    sundry items required for the installation.

    2.2.6 It is the responsibility of the contractor to supply and install all items, that are incidental and necessary for the completion of the installation, whether specifically mentioned or not, so that the installation complies with the standards and regulations specified.

    2.2.7 Associated civil and structural works such as chipping, plastering, grouting, minor brick

    and concrete works, excavations, fabrication, painting and any other work necessary for completion of the installation shall be included in the scope of work. Separate charges shall not be applicable for the above unless otherwise indicated in Schedule of items of Work.

    2.2.8 The contractor shall furnish all labour (supervisory, skilled, unskilled and administrative),

    transport vehicles, generator sets, welding machines, gas cutters, erection tools and tackles, cleaners, crimping devices, blow lamp, handling equipment, testing equipment, etc, and any other such equipment necessary for installation, testing and commissioning, at no extra cost to the purchaser.

    2.2.9 It is the responsibility of the contractor to pay wages and salaries to the persons employed

    and ensure that all labour rules and acts are complied with. Contributions, fees, etc. necessary in this regard shall be paid and the contractor shall maintain all necessary records.

    2.2.10 All consumable materials such as insulation tape, cleaning and paint brushes, welding

    electrodes, rust preventive materials, jute, cotton waste, hacksaw blades, bolts, nuts, corrosion inhibitive grease, fuel, lubricants, etc and any other material required for carrying out the work shall be included in the scope of the bidder.

    2.2.11 Work shall be started and carried out in accordance with the terms and conditions, approved drawings, specifications and requirements as set forth in this document and instructions of the purchaser or his authorized representative from time to time.

    2.2.12 Where supply of materials are involved, the scope shall include design, manufacture,

    assembly, testing, and inspection at works, packing and delivery at site. 2.2.13 Testing and commissioning works include calibration, all pre-commissioning tests,

    checking of all wiring and connections for power, control, metering, protection, alarm, annunciation, lighting, and earthing. Testing and commissioning of all the equipment covered in this contract shall be carried out as per relevant standards or as directed by the purchaser.

    2.2.14 Contractor shall carry out clearing of all construction waste materials and loose earth, which

    might have collected in and near the work site consequent to execution of the work under this contract. Also all temporary structures erected by the bidder shall be removed.
