SUN RAY ELECTRIC HEATERS Dear Customer, Thank you for choosing SUN RAY heaters, with their modern design, state-of-the-art technology, great reliability and quality construction.

ATC SUN RAY heaters and all their materials and components have passed strict controls to ensure their quality.

Before starting your heater, please read these instructions carefully as they will ensure the correct working order of the appliance with the utmost features and to your fullest satisfaction. The thermal radiator shall be fixed to the wall by the adjustable brackets supplied with the device, using the cardboard template provided on the outside of the box.

1. LOCATIONThe radiator should be fitted in the part of the room where the client wants it, depending on the space available, although preferably on or near outside walls, leaving enough space around the heater for correct hot air circulation and at least 100 mm, from curtains and furniture, etc. The distance should be at least 100mm from the floor. In bathrooms, the electric heater should be outside the protected area, as indicated (zone 3 of Figure 1) Keep fitting away from bath and showers.

2. ELECTRIC CONNECTIONThe thermal radiator must connect to the mains (230V~ 50 Hz.). It is recommended to install a switched spur for each heater. In addition the following warnings must be taken into account:

-The electric radiator should not be located underneath a light switch where you need to stretch over the heater to reach or operate the switch.

3. MOUNTING If for any reason cardboard template is missing you can follow the instructions below:

1. Make sure you keep your eye on where the lower hole on the wall is.

(*)The first number corresponds to the number of plastic brackets on which the radiator hangs and the second number corresponds to the number of metal locking brackets which fixes the radiator to the wall.

2. Screw in each of the brackets using the lower hole and mark the upper holes of each wall bracket.

3. Drill all the marked locations in the wall and insert the wall-plugs, screw the brackets to the wall and hang the radiator..

4. Metal Locking Bracket: Tighten the screw at the top of the bracket until radiator is locked in position

4. CONTROL PANEL The heater is fitted with a temperature adjustment switch and a control switch:

1. 6-position switch

• - Override Position = Off

• - Off • - Anti-frost (Temp. 7ºC) • - Economy (Comfort – 3.5ºC) • - Comfort • - Program position. This position is to control the heater

using a pilot wire adjustment system. (*) 2. Temperature adjustment 3. Two-colour voltage and on LED.

(*) Where there is no pilot wire adjustment system, the heater will operate in Comfort position.

5. OPERATING Once the heater has been plugged into the appropriate voltage, turn the Control switch (1) to . - Comfort position and select the required temperature using the adjustment switch (2). The red LED (3) will then light up and the element will start to heat. When the set temperature is reached, the temperature adjustment will disconnect the electricity supply to the element and the LED will turn green. The heating will stop and will start again automatically when the temperature changes. Anti-frost position: Temperature set to 7ºC, independent the temperature selected on the

adjustment switch (2) Economic: The temperature set-point is 3.5ºC below that selected on the adjustment

switch (2) LED: Green: Heater is at temperature Red: Element is powered and heating up Turn the adjustment switch (2) to change the temperature. Turn it to the right to increase the temperature and to the left to decrease the temperature.

IMPORTANT:

• To prevent overheating, do not cover the radiator. • If the power cord is damaged, it must be changed by the manufacturer, its after-sales service or persons qualified

to do so, in order to avoid possible danger. • The radiator should not be located underneath any electrical connections. • The radiator must be installed in such a way that any person in a bathtub or a shower is not able to access the

switches. • This heating apparatus holds a specific amount of special oil. Repairs where it is necessary to open the oil tank

must only be made by the manufacturer or ATC. ATC should be contacted in case of any oil leakage • A fused Spur must be included in the wiring to the heater • The appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children), whose physical, sensory or mental

capabilities are reduced, or lack of experience or knowledge, unless they have supervision or instructions relating to the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

• If the radiator is discarded, ensure it is recycled responsibly.

The symbol of the “crossed-out wheeled bin” shown on the appliance indicates that, at the end of its working life, the product must be treated separately from domestic waste and must be disposed of in a selective collection centre for electrical and electronic appliances or must be returned to the distributor upon purchasing an equivalent new appliance. Users are responsible for disposing of appliances at the end of their working life in the established collection centres. The correct collection of the appliance, allowing for the appliance to be recycled at the end of its working life, its treatment and its environment-friendly dismantling help prevent any negative effects on the environment and on public health and favour the recycling of the product components.

PRODUCT: This warranty is applicable to the products contained in this manual WARRANTY:24 months from Date of Purchase (Proof of sale required) ATC, assures the electronics in the control panel have a warranty of 2 years from the date of purchase. ATC assures the aluminum elements that make up the heater body are guaranteed 10 years. There are excluded in this period the other components. Unless proven otherwise, it shall be presumed if not shown otherwise within six months of delivery that the product was fine when delivered. There is a warranty of two years from the date of delivery of the appliance, apart from the aluminium frame which is guaranteed 10 yrs. This warranty applies, only and exclusively, for equipment sold and installed in Ireland and the United Kingdom. Repairs will be carried out in the workshops of ATC or its nominated agent. The material replaced in warranty becomes property of ATC SCOPE OF WARRANTY Unless there is evidence to the contrary, means that goods are compliant and suitable for the purpose that is acquired and that always takes place under the following conditions: -The guaranteed unit shall correspond to the manufacturer intended expressly for Ireland and the United Kingdom and should be installed in Ireland and the United Kingdom. - The spare parts which are necessary to replaced, will be determined by our qualified service and in all cases shall be original products from the manufacturer. - The warranty is valid provided that normal maintenance operations described in the technical instructions provided with the equipment have been carried out. - The consumer must inform ATC of the lack of conformity of the goods, in a period of less than two months since he learned of it. The warranty does not cover incidents caused by: -The power supply of sufficient capacity and equipment with generators or any other system that is not a stable power supply. - Products whose repairs have not been conducted by ATC qualified service personal or their authorized agents. -Corrosion, deformation, etc., caused by improper storage. - Handling of the product by other personnel not employed by ATC during the warranty period. -Installation not in accordance with the instructions provided in the equipment. -Installation of equipment by unqualified personnel. -Defects in electrical, hydraulic facilities, or by lack of flow, etc. -Defects caused by improper treatment. -Anomalies caused by atmospheric agents (ice, lightning, flooding, etc.) as well as erratic current or voltages. -By improper maintenance, neglect or misuse. Transport damages must be claimed by the user directly from the carrier

VERY IMPORTANT: Radiators must be correctly sized for each room they are to heat. The sizing is under description in the website. Draughty and badly insulated rooms cause the radiator to use more power to reach the set temperature. To claim on the warranty here recognized, it will be required that the appliance is used and intended for household and commercial use only. Also it will be necessary to deliver the radiator to the technical personnel of ATC at their premises or the premises of their nominated agent. A clear and legible copy of the invoice or receipt for the radiator together with the delivery slip must be supplied.
