In order to facilitate platform configuration management and protocol definition, the

module of Spider67 Mobile in IoTHub standard communication protocol is defined as 0~X

(Remark: This X not a fixed value for all application mode, the value depends on the

number of final expansion modules, and the relevant regulations refer to ELCO final

technical specifications and update instructions. Currently Gateway could extend

max 6 expansion I/O modules, so the X value max is 8).

On the application platform the Gateway configuration page need user know how to define

the module, the channel marked is “M*_P*A”, refer to the figure below is “M0_P0 A”

  • 13

The maximum port based on the extension module is 4 ports. In order to facilitate

configuration management, the IoTHub system defines each group of 4 I/O ports as a

module by default, so the SPMB-16DIO series gateways P0~P3 ports are defined as

Module_0, P4~P7 ports is defined as Module_1 (refer to the following figure). The

subsequent extended I/O modules are sequentially numbered as Module_2, Module_3,

    and so on.

    4.1.5 SPMB-16DIO I/O channel description

Each signal channel acts as a separate channel for digital signal input or control signal

output. The IoTHub standard communication protocol is based on the coding rules from 0

to X (the X value depends on the number of final expansion modules. Relevant

regulations refer to ELCO final technical specifications and update instructions.). P0 portA

channel is defined as Channel_0, P0 portB channel is defined as Channel_1. Combined

with the module information is defined as module_0_channel_0. The rest can be done in

    the same manner.

The SPMB-16DIO gateway I/O port is of standard M12 A Code connector. The associated

    Pins are defined as follows:
