Readiness plans - based on new Trust Structure
Before we flick the switch to cut over to our new
electronic patient record (EPR) well need to ensure that
we are ready Local ownership of these Readiness
decisions is key to the safe transition from current to new
systems and ways of working The new Trust structure
with 5 clinical divisions and 17 clinical directorates
(pictured above) gives an ideal framework for collating
these Readiness assessments
Within each division the Divisional Director
Divisional Nurse and Assistant Director of
Operations will take the lead
At directorate level the Clinical Director Senior
Clinical Nurse Operations Manager and specialty
representatives will take the lead
to eHospital Times byassigning a teammember to print andpin-up thelatest eHospital Pin-up on your areas staffnoticeboards
Let us know when andwhere you havedisplayed theeHospital Pin-ups (see above) for achance to win abeautiful HP Slate 7tablet PC
Aprils draw will takeplace on 30 April - soplease pin up thissecond Pin-up foranother chance towin

3) Super Userinformation
4) The Big InformationTidy Up
5) IT SkillsAssessment tool
Please share thisinformation with yourteamscolleagues tokeep them informed ofwhats going on
In each specialty an appropriate leadership team
will assess and police local Readiness
To go live safely and efficiently each area needs to be
able to confirm that
1 It has understood and is comfortable with new
workflows - particularly high risk workflows (either
from a safety or patient throughput perspective)
2 It has validated the electronic patient record
content
3 It has assessed the new equipment provision
checking that there is a suitable computing device
wherever access to the electronic patient record is
required (and that numbers are sufficient)
4 Staff have been trained and have passed post-
training assessments
5 Super Users are trained and rostered so as to be
available to support colleagues over the go live
period
The eHospital team (including colleagues from Epic) will
guide us through a formal series of Go Live Readiness
Assessments as we progress through the summer but it
is vital that we take ownership of the Readiness of our
own service areas Assuming that someone else will have
thought about a particular topicdetail is to be avoided -
we must all play our part in ensuring that we are ready
Want to be a Super User
Join the growing ranks of those
deciding that being the best at go
live will be useful and rewarding
