Reminder: Families Needing Backpacks will be held at our church on August 3, 2013. We could

use everyone’s help in geQng 400+ children ready to go back to school. We are in need of pen-

cils, pens, rulers, glue, scissors, paper, binders, folders, markers, colored pencils, highlighters or

erasers. The commiFee will purchase items with all monetary dona#ons. During the week of

VBS children will bring in school supplies as their mission project and they love to see the Treas-

ure Chest grow each day. This would be a great #me for you to make that dona#on and get

them excited to see how fast we can fill up the chest to help the children for Jesus. We need

help seQng up on Friday evening or distribu#ng items on Saturday morning. Please call Tina

Mar#n at 364-0475 if you are interested in volunteering for either or both days. You will be

blessed and have lots of fun at the same #me.

“Devo-ons with Your Feet”

Showing June 14 at 6:30 here at First Bap#st Church

Tour of Turkey and Greece

October 3-16, 2013

Come retrace the steps of the Apostle Paul! Under the direc-

#on of two experienced Bible teachers, this life-changing tour

will pay careful aFen#on to the biblical relevance of the sites

and ar#facts of western Turkey and Greece. This strong bibli-

cal emphasis on the authority and accuracy of the Word of

God will allow you to have “devo#ons with your feet” as the Scriptures turn from black and

white to Technicolor!

Dr. Richard Blumenstock and Dr. David Hoffeditz will be here Sunday, June 30th for both ser-

vices. There will also be an informa-onal mee-ng at 4:00 on June 30th for those interested in

the tour. Check out their web site at: ancienFours.org

Highlights:

•13-day premier tour with seven nights in Turkey and six nights in Greece.

•Visi#ng key New Testament sites men#oned in the Book of Acts and Revela#on 2 and 3. Such

sites include Ephesus, Philippi, Thessaloniki, Athens, Colossae, and Corinth.

• A special communion service at the loca#on where Lydia met the God-fearers at Philippi.

• An all-day, breath-taking, three-island cruise on the Saronic, allowing #me for swimming and

sightseeing.

• A worship service where Paul preached on Mars Hill (Acts 17).

• Listen to the cries of the mob at Ephesus as we read the biblical account in the exact theater

that existed during the #me of Paul.

•Visit important historical sites such as St. Sophia in Istanbul,

the acropolis in Athens, and the center of the ancient world--

Delphi.

• A ferry-ride across the Dardanelles.

• Free #me for shopping, personal reflec#on, or simply drinking

a cup of coffee at a local cafe.
