EOF Peer Connection: EPCEOF Peer 2 Peer Mentor ing Program
To help with the transition process, all incoming Summer
Scholars are required to engage throughout the school
year with their peer mentors.
FOUNDATIONS OF STUDENT SUCCESS
● This course is designed to guide incoming first year
students through the transition from high school to college.
● This will involve further developing content knowledge
previously covered in secondary schools, reflecting on
self-assessments taken, diagnosing learning styles,
beginning to develop college-level study and tests-
taking skills, and learning the resources available to
students on a college campus.
● Each week is a different big idea that focuses on an area of
developmental need.
● Students will receive content addressing common themes based off of the ACT Engage Assessment.
Principles of Stem Innovation
● This is a two part course which is broken up over a 4 week period.
● Every two weeks students will learn about different STEM related areas that will help prepare them for the upcoming semester
● Topics covered will include
● Physics Principles
● Genetic Principles
● Engineering Principles
● Chemistry Principles
● Each course will be taught by a different Full-Time TCNJ Faculty member
● These modules are full, non-remedial topics taught at the pace of a summer course.
● Students will apply the study and cognitive skills learned from their Foundations of Student Success course
