Design For Change Competition

Grace Model School

Page 2: Education for the poor

Every morning when the first bell rings for Grace

Model School there is a group of children who wait

outside and hope for the chance to enter. In the

Trading Places program GMS students are sacrificing

themselves for the betterment of the

underprivileged in their communities. Without the

financial means to provide scholarships students

have offered to switch places with the poor to give

them the opportunity to be educated.

Page 3: Education for the poor

Students feel that education for the poor is their communities greatest problem.

This is a problem that effects many children in the area.

Although students can not ultimately fix this problem in one week, they can be a catalyst for change by exposing poor parents and children with the benefits of education.
