PresenterPresentation NotesHere were looking at about 4 1/2 years of data that shows us the weekly volume of tweets using a diabetes related hashtag. You can see the surge of growth thats happening in 2015. And if you ignore that tall spike in the middle of the graph and just look at the other four spikes evenly spaced in the later part of each year. Any guesses what that is? (World Diabetes Day) ^ And now coming back to that spike in the middle, Im not entirely sure. It was a mix of things that seemed to randomly converge. There was a real mix of languages only about 60% of it was English, about 15% Spanish and 15% Indonesian. 38 languages in all. It seems like there were various campaigns going on. And there was also a lot of talk about the Jonas Brothers winning the Teen-Choice award for their diabetes advocacy. Collectively it caused a monumental surge.
