The degree of ingress prolection cf al least IP 54 according 10 EN 60529 tor use in potentialJyexplosive atmospheres cf f1ammable gases, vapours and mists is only achieved if certifiedcable entries are used that are suitable for the applicalion and correctly installed.

For external earthing and bonding connection a cable lug shall be used so lhat the conductoris secured againsl loosening and twisting and that the contact pressure is permanentlysecured.

The instructions of the manufacturer shall be followed in order to ensure that after installationthe creepage and clearance distances comply with lhe requirements ofEN 50019: 2000 and EN 50020: 1994.

Routine tests

If factory wired, each terminal box shall be submitted to a dielectric strength testaccording to Clause 7.1 of EN 50019.

When the Terminal Saxes are used as Category 1 equipment, they shall be inslalled onlyin such a way that they are not subjected to impacts, in accordance with Clause 4.3.1of EN 50284 : 1999.
