ECONCEPT 15 - 25 - 35 introduction
ECONCEPT is a wall-hung premix condensing heat generator for central heating and the production of domestic hotwater (version C), with very high thermal efficiency and very low emissions, fired by natural gas or LPG (using the spe-cial conversion kit).
The ECONCEPT series is the result of FERROLI Research and Development, based on experience in foreigncountries, above all central-northern Europe, which are traditionally more sensitive to issues of environmental conser-vation and the reduction of pollution.

ECONCEPT 15 - 25 - 35 technology
CONDENSATIONThe ECONCEPT series of generators are designed toexploit condensation technology.Using a special aluminium condenser, the boiler is able torecover part of the energy that would otherwise be disper-sed in the atmosphere by the flue gas, transferring it to thesystem and consequently allowing very high efficiency.
PREMIXINGThe ECONCEPT series of generators are complete pre-mix appliances. This means that the right quantity of air for combustion issupplied in all operating conditions. This system ensures high and constant efficiency (h) forall power outputs of the boiler, and furthermore createsa flame with very low polluting emissions.
Even when the ECONCEPT operates at reduced loads, the efficiency of combustion may reach 109%.

The ECONCEPT series has gainedapproval as class 5 according to the
UNI EN 297 standard, that is, the lowestpollution rating envisaged by the
European technical standards.
VARIABLE-SPEED PUMPVersions 35C and 35A are fitted with a modulatingpump at fixed ∆t even with systems featuring variablepressure drop (multi-zone systems), ensuring betterperformance and ambient comfort.

The boiler body is made up of an aluminium heat exchanger,in which the system water passes the flame eleven times. The exchanger has no braze-welded joints, and the mecha-nical seal is guaranteed by the flaring process, which ensu-res high mechanical resistance over time and low noiseduring operation.
Combustion with reverse flame is guaranteed by the cera-mic “premix” burner with a large surface area, able tocreate a “mat” of micro-flames that allows extremely redu-ced emissions (class 5, according to the UNI EN 297 stan-dard) , and at the same time guaranteeing high reliabilityand constant operation over time.
DHW micro-storage
MICRO-STORAGEIn order to achieve maximum comfort in the delivery ofinstant domestic hot water, a 4 litre micro-storage systemhas been adopted, which stabilises the operating temperatu-re and minimises waiting times. The “micro storage system” can be deactivated by simply pres-sing the “ECO” button on the boiler control panel.

The boiler’s microprocessor control system ensures the ECONCEPT a rapid response tothe commands and precise control of the data and the desired temperature. The user interface is easy to use and provides, on the large display, constant informationon the operating status of the appliance. The operating parameters and the logged data are saved internally and can be cal-led by a connection to a Personal Computer, to assist the service operations.
The ECONCEPT series can be operated using a modulating remote control-timer, whichcan be used to manage the boiler and program the heating functions on a daily or weeklybasis to three distinct temperature values. The remote control-timer is modulating, that is, modifies the boiler outlet temperature inde-pendently of the set value, based on the room temperature: this ensures optimum mana-gement of the comfort conditions and a faster and more precise achieve-ment of the thermal load required. The microprocessor on the appliance is alsoable to calculate a pre-ignition period (evenwhen the climatic conditions change), so as tobring the environment to the set temperatureat the desired time.By connecting the remote control-timer to anEconcept version A generator, fitted with storageheater, the production of domestic hot water canbe programmed on a weekly basis.

WITH OUTSIDE PROBE AND TEMPERATURE SCROLLING:The electronic board is fitted for the connection of an outsideprobe and consequently for temperature scrolling operation. This special function ensures that the boiler adjusts the systemoutlet temperature according to the outside temperature, so asto guarantee significant energy savings and bettercomfort control. The electronics on the ECONCEPT are able to managethe shift in the curves so as to adapt to various differentsystem solutions with different operating temperatures.
WITH EXTERNAL STORAGE HEATERThe ECONCEPT 15A - 25A - 35A models are fitted forthe management of an external storage heater, using aspecial kit (optional*), installed inside the casing, made up ofa fill pump, non-return valve and storage heater probe; theelectronic board can automatically manage the production ofdomestic hot water in priority.

EXAMPLES OF CONNECTION WITH COAXIAL PIPESThe ECONCEPT series boilers are “type C” room-sea-led, forced draught appliances. The air inlet and flue gasoutlet must be connected to pipes according to the stan-dards and local regulations in force.
The “air/flue gas” chamber in the boilers has been desi-gned in such a way as to allow two different types of fluegas outlet and combustion air intake:- With coaxial pipe, diameter 60/100mm or 80/125mm.- With separate pipes, diameter 80mm.
