EASY ECO FRIENDLY SEEDLING POTS
Difficulty Level:
Easy
It takes about 10 minutes to make
these pots
YOU WILL NEEDNewspaper - half a sheet per pot
A spray can for oil, or a jar (a wine bottle would even do)
Potting mix
Seeds for vegetables, flowers or herbs
Cut the sheets of newspaper in half from top to bottom along the
fold
Rotate the sheet so it is a rectangle in the Landscape orientation
Fold the long top edge down to within about 5cm (2”) of the bottom of the
sheet
Place the base of the spray can at the bottom of the doubled up section
Roll tightly
Twist and fold the bit below
the can, pressing it into
the hollow, or standing the
can up and pressing it flat
against the table
Slide gently off the can. It’s as easy as that!
Fill your pots with soil and
plant your
seeds
You can make a mini greenhouse by watering your planted pots and placing them inside a plastic bag until the seeds germinate.
To plant your pots into the garden untwist the
bottom of the pot and plant the pot along with
seedling into your garden.
Water well.
