Sign up for ed2go classes now!Ed2Go offers a wide range of highly interactive courses on just about every topic you can imagine from Creating Web Pages to Accounting Fundamentals, Speed Spanish to Grant Writing, Medical Terminology to Real Estate Investing, and much, much more. Visit our Online Instruction Center to see all the courses we offer at: www.ed2go.com/ewcClick the Courses link, choose the department and course title you are interested in and select the Enroll Now button. Follow the instructions to enroll and pay for your course. Here you will enter your e-mail and choose a password that will grant you access to the Classroom.When your course starts, return to our Online Instruction Center and click the Classroom link. To begin your studies, simply log in with your e-mail and the password you selected during enrollment.
Start Dates: New course sessions begin on the third Wednesday of each month. Please visit our Online Instruction Center to see exact start dates for the course that interests you.

AHA Heartsaver First Aid/CPR CourseVickie WinneyThis class is for those who have a duty to repond to a first aid or cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. It teaches how to manage illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Course content includes general principles, medical emergencies, and injury emergencies. Adult and chold CPR will be covered with AED instructions along with infant CPR with mask. Three separate sections are available for your convenience.

Tai ChiDavid McGrewTai Chi is one of the many alternative therapies that can provide relief from pain of arthritis. This course is designed to improve the mobility, breathing and relaxation of those suffering from arthritis through the easy-to-learn and perform practice of Yang Style Tai Chi postures. This is a year-round progressive training program. This is not just a kicking, punching self-defense class nor is it fast-paced aerobic exercise that will just tire you out, but you still get the benefits of both internal and external exercises. This class teaches the benefits of Tai Chi and Chi Kung and their explosive physical conditioning powers. Tai Chi and the Chi Kung exercises are a relaxing low-impact and are non-straining on joints and ligaments. Tai Chi will build muscle power flexibility and agility. Join a fun non-competitive, full participation class that focuses on exercises that will strengthen the mind and body promote coordination and balance. Learn the life-long benefits of Tai Chi, the Chinese art of fitness. Please note that there will be several qualified assistants to provide individual aid in learning Tai Chi.

Holiday BazaarCome join us for the 12th Annual Holiday Bazaar! The bazaar will be in the gym and hallways of EWC. Tables will rent for $10 each. An Introduction to Dog Friendly Dog TrainingMike EarnstWe will practice non-aversive methods to teach basic skills to your family pet and help you build a lasting bond between family and pet. Students will learn to appreciate canine body language and what behaviors should be trained, modified or managed. No special equipment, all you will need is a flat collar, a six foot leash and a dog. KumihimoDarlene ReddickKumihimo, pronounced ku-me-he-mo, is a fun technique to learn. Traditionally done with thread, Kumihimo can take many forms. The word literally means coming together. It is a form of braiding or plaiting that comes from Japan. Kumihimo traditionally uses silk and is durable, despite the delicate material. In this class we will use a foam braiding disk and 2 mm Rattail satin cord to make a two color bracelet. There will be a supply kit that will include the disk, ord and clasp. You will be able to take home a completed bracelet and the disk for future projects. If you are interested in taking up this traditional and beautiful art, please sign up for this class by October 1.

By making brain healthy lifestyle changes, you can make a difference.” This mini-course will explore informative and fun ways that brain-games can help keep our brains healthy and sharp.

This class will help shed light on the mysteries of basic accounting and bookkeeping, covering topics such as, “What are debits and credits?”, and “Exactly what do those numbers on the financial statement mean?” Then, don’t get caught with an empty bank account. “Cash flow”, refers to the amounts of ach received and spent by a business during a period of time. It is the life blood of your business. For many businesses, the timing of collections and/or seasonal variations in volume, result in uneven cash flow throughout the year. Country SwingJill HaskinsThis class will begin with the basic of four count swing which is a simple style of swing consisting of rocking forward and back and is very versatile. Due to the steady four counts of this style of swing, it is very popular with all types of current music but most popular with country mu-sic which is why it’s also known as Coun-try Swing. The intricate arm-work involved with the swinging and wrapping of this style of dance makes it a fun class to take!
