BUS TRIP REMINDERS: For many of the EWC Community Education bus trips, tickets must be ordered and paid for well in advance of the event. And for this reason you are asked to complete your paid registration by the indicated deadline, a seat will not be guaranteed until your payment is received. As always, Community Education will take names past the deadline and keep them on a waitlist.
If you want or need to cancel your paid registration, you must contact the Community Education Office 2 days prior to the trip. A refund will be made only if a replacement for you can be located.

WINGS OVER THE ROCKIES AIR & SPACE MUSEUMDenver, ColoradoIn recognition of the 50th anniversary of the July 20, 1969 Apollo lunar landing, we will be traveling a much shorter distance to the Air & Space Museum located on the former home of the Lowry Air Force Base. The museum features over fifty iconic aircraft and the most realistic flight simulators in Colorado. This particular date to visit Wings Over the Rockies was selected because it is “Cockpit Demo Day”. Kids and adults can climb aboard select aircraft and get a pilot’s perspective of the instruments and controls. After a short guided tour you will have the opportunity to explore the museum exhibits which include information on the Apollo Missions and the Titan Missile Project. Following our tour of the museum we will travel a short distance and have a wonderful buffet luncheon at Cinzetti’s, which is included in your ticket price. You don’t want to miss out on this trip. What a great family outing.

1880’S TRAINCRAZY HORSE MEMORIALPURPLE PIE PLACEKeystone/Hill City/Custer“All Aboard!” Whether you are a serious “rail fan” or just looking for a great summer excursion, this trip is for you! We will board the 1880’s Train in Keystone, SD for a scenic 1 hour train trip. Upon arrival in Hill City we will enjoy a picnic style “Bandana Lunch”. There will be time, if you wish to visit the South Dakota State Railroad Museum on your own. The next stop on our itinerary will be the Crazy Horse Memorial to view the Monument and visit the on-site museum. The next stop on our trip will be the Purple Pie Place in Custer for a delicious and well-deserved dessert of pie and ice cream. Your ticket price covers your train ride, “Bandana Lunch”, admission to the Crazy Horse Memorial campus, and of course, your pie and ice cream, mmmmm!

COLORADO ROCKIES vs Cincinnati RedsCoors Field - Denver, Co“Take me out to the ball game, Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jacks.” Cheer on the Rockies as they play the Cincinnati Reds. Game time is 6:10 pm. The cost of this trip only covers the price of admission, dinner is on your own, but your ticket comes with a $10 added value that can be used at almost all of the permanent food and beverage stands in the ball park. We have super tickets to this game, we will have a great view down on third base.

SISTER ACTFort Robinson PlayhouseSister Act is the feel-good musical comedy based on the hit 1992 film that had audiences jumping to their feet! Disco Diva Deloris Van Cartier finds herself in protective custody in a convent. In her own way, Deloris, disguised as a nun, breathes new life into the church and community. A funny and heartwarming adult show. As usual, we will dine on a delicious buffet luncheon at MJ’s Ranch House in Crawford. The cost of lunch and gratuity is included in your ticket price.

SUMMER FOR MEN ONLY YOGAInstructor: Sandra HuckfeldtA yoga class designed just for men! Build flexibility and strength through an active vinyasa practice with a variety of poses and sequences. Get your heart rate up and break a sweat in this early morning workout. Yoga is one of the few physical activities that has a “de-compacting” effect on the body and counters the effects of gravity associated activities such as running or jogging, and provides much needed “symmetry relief” to such asymmetric endeavors as racquet sports and golf, which torque the spine in only one direction. N’ BALANCEInstructor: Melanie Herring, North Platte Physical TherapyOne third of community-residing adults aged 65 and older suffer a fall each year. Falls are the leading cause of injury-related deaths in older adults. N’ Balance is a class that takes a practical approach to balance exercises, focusing on parts of the body and how they influence balance. N’ Balance will focus on training the three systems that affect balance: somatosensory, visual, and vestibular. Participants will learn exercises that will challenge the somatosensory, visual, and vestibular systems because as people age they become more sedentary, which results in decreased use of these systems causing decreased strength and activity levels. This class meets 2 times a week for 1 hour sessions, with one additional session for baseline testing before beginning the class activities. Join this class and become more active and confident in the community and home while possibly expanding your social life.Pre-registration is required, no drop-ins. YOUTH THEATRE WORKSHOPSEUSS!Limited to students completing grades 3-8Come and be a part of our Tribute to Dr. Suess! There are rolls for Sneetches, Two Stubborn Zax, the Cat in the Hat(s), and more. This workshop will improve your theater skills and give you a chance to be part of a great show. We will focus on acting, voice projection, diction, singing, movement, blocking, and prop creation. Auditions will be in the EWC Fine Arts Auditorium. Enrollment limited to the first 40 registrations, so don’t wait. When registering, please indicate grade level and t-shirt size. HUNTER SAFETYInstructor: Luke May, Wyoming Game & Fish WardenWyoming Hunter Safety Certification---required for all hunters born after 1966, or for hunting in certain parts of Wyoming; ages ten years & older recommended; must attend 12 hours of instruction & complete test; scholarships provided by Goshen County 2-Shot Goose Hunting Committee for students 8-17 residing in Goshen County who pass the test. Materials provided at first class. Please note that participants are also required to register for this class on-line atwww.wgf.wyo.gov The class will not be on the website until 30 days prior to the first day of class. A $20 deposit for students 8-17 is required and will be refunded when the student passes the course, cash or check only. Community EduCation/WorkforCE dEvElopmEnt poliCiEsPARTICIPANT CONDUCT: All participants in an EWC sponsored Community Education or Workforce Development program, class, or event, including children, are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that is respectful toward the instructor and other participants. Anyone displaying inappropriate or disruptive behavior will be asked to remove themselves from the class/event. In the case of children, displaying inappropriate or disruptive behavior that cannot be redirected, will result in a parent or guardian being contacted and asked to remove the child. REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Unless otherwise noted, registration is ongoing until the class fills or begins. Class sizes are limited and registration is first-come, first-served. Registrations are not complete until payment is received.CANCELLATIONS: Occasionally classes are cancelled due to insufficient registration or unforeseen circumstances. All fees will be refunded if Eastern Wyoming College cancels the class. Typically, the decision to cancel a class is made two days prior to the start of class, so register early to prevent cancellations.REFUND POLICY: If you want to cancel your registration, notification is required at least two business days prior to the start of class or the registration deadline, whichever is sooner. Failure to attend is NOT a cancellation. If you have any questions, please call Community Education at 307.532.8323.INCLEMENT WEATHER: In the event of inclement weather, call Eastern Wyoming College - Donna White at 307.532.8323or your Outreach Coordinator.
