MEDICAL/TOILETRIES SUPPLY DRIVE FOR BIZAA MISSION TRIP TO NIGERIA:
A LENTEN ALMSGIVING OPPORTUNITY
This coming June, Fr. Paul and a few of our parishioners
will be travelling to Nigeria for the 4th BIZAA annual interna-
tional mission trip (June 9 – 19, 2016).
We are in need of the medical supplies and toiletries listed
below to fill up our suitcases. We usually hire local doctors
and nurses to help us with on-site consultations and dis-
pensing of these medications during our picnic in the villag-
es.
This little gesture has helped us to win the cooperation of
the communities in our work of identifying victims of child
labor and child trafficking for interviews and eventual enroll-
ment in schools. More than 60 identified victims have been
enrolled in already existing Catholic Schools as of January
this year with full sponsorship from members of our commu-
nity.
We hope to identify more children this year and also visit
both the temporary campus of BIZAA Vocational School
and the proposed site for the main campus.
Pick up a few over-the-counter medications and hygiene
supplies when you are shopping in the coming week(s), we
can use them.
NEEDED MEDICAL SUPPLIES:
FYI: All supplies MUST be new and with an expiration date
NOT earlier than December 2016. We also accept cash
donations. Please drop off your supplies donation in the
marked box in the church gathering area. Drop off deadline:
May 31. Questions? Call Okey at the parish office 763-762-
7417 or email: [email protected] for more information.

“The Logic of Being Catholic”
Dr. Ray Guarendi shares his story of how
logic led him home to the Catholic
Church. He discovered that, contrary to
his Protestant misunderstandings, the Church is coherent
and never contradicts herself.
Dr. Ray explains how the answers to his objections to Ca-
tholicism were both Biblical and believed by the earliest
Christians. Explore the logic that led him to the fullness of
truth.

SEEKING DONATIONS FOR
EXTREME FAITH CAMP 2016
At Extreme Faith Camp students in
Grades 6-8 spend a week up north,
not only to have fun, but to grow deeply in faith and have a
transformative experience.
While at camp, students hear dynamic speakers who
explore cornerstones of the Catholic Faith, all while helping
students understand their faith and how to practice it in a
deeper way. Extreme Faith Camp prepares teens to be
leaders in the Church, and bonds them in the St. Vincent de
Paul Community. Students gain a deep appreciation and
understanding of the sacraments through receiving the
Sacrament of Reconciliation, participating in Daily Mass,
and gazing upon our Lord in Adoration.
In order to make this amazing week a reality, we need the
care and support from the entire St. Vincent de Paul Com-
munity. We ask for your prayers for our students, that they
may have a faith-filled week at camp, and we are also seek-
ing financial support to help families be able to send their
kids to camp. $125.00 = Partial Scholarship $250.00 = Full
Scholarship.
We are grateful for your prayers
and for donations of any size, thank you!

PRE-BAPTISM SESSION
Baptisms for infants and
young children under the
age of seven are on the
first and third Sundays of
each month at 12:30 PM.
Parents are always
encouraged to attend the
Pre-Baptism Session, which is required if it has been five
years or longer since last attended.
The Pre-Baptism Session is usually held on the first
Tuesday of every month from 7-8:30 PM, in the Community
Room.
Our next session is on Tuesday, April 5.
Registration is required for this session at the Parish Office

recommended that you attend the session before the birth
of your child. Keep in mind that godparents must be

female, and at least sixteen years of age.
Let us rejoice with our
newly initiated—
those who celebrated the
Sacraments of
Baptism, Confirmation,
and First Communion
at the Easter Vigil.
See next week’s bulletin
for more details.

online and remit payment to the school office or via Presto
Pay by the 9:00 AM deadline. Remember that a new Partici-
pation Agreement is required prior to your first order of the
school year. Additional Scrip info is available on our web
site. Questions? E-mail us at [email protected].
WHAT IS SCRIP ?
Scrip is Fundraising While You Shop™ - you raise money
for our school with NO selling! Scrip is gift cards from na-
tional and local retailers. They are the same ones that you
buy at the store.
The Great Lakes Scrip Center acts on behalf of non-profit
organizations like our school to purchase large amounts of
Scrip from grocery stores, department stores, and other
retailers. Because the Scrip is purchased with cash up
front, the participating retailers offer a substantial discount.
Our school buys the Scrip from Great Lakes Scrip Center
at a discount, and re-sells the certificates to families like
yours for full face value.
The discount - from 2% to 15% or more – is our revenue.
The revenue is split between a family’s tuition account and
the general school fund. If you do not have a student en-
rolled at our school, the revenue goes directly to the gen-
eral school fund. Scrip is an easy way to help reduce our
school’s tuition. Everybody wins!
Vendors include Cub Foods, Wal-Mart, Target, Ama-
zon.com, Menards, Kohl’s, Best Buy, Subway, Target,
Chipotle, Walgreens, Lowe’s, The Home Depot, Holiday,
Marathon, Super America, Sears, and many more!
