the Best of East Wharton County!Earlier this year, we asked Wharton

Journal-Spectator and East Bernard Express readers to cast their ballots in our first Best of East Wharton County contest.

The winners are now revealed in this special section. Winners in each catego-ry received a framed certificate listing the category or categories they won.

A runner-up was named in each cat-egory, and some categories may include one or two honorable mention selec-tions, if deemed appropriate.

We didn’t have any ties for winner or runner-up, and one winner was a unanimous selection (Wharton County Historical Museum, Best Museum/His-torical Site).

Also, Ronnie Bubela of East Bernard won the drawing for a $50 gift certifi-cate from Hinze’s, which was voted the best restaurant.

Best Teacher of East Wharton County.” It is an honor

that I greatly appreciate and will always treasure. Your

genuine consideration of me holding this title is without

a doubt, both humbling and exciting.

and the East Bernard Express for their efforts in sponsoring this county event.

To the Wharton Chamber of Commerce, I would extend my gratitude and

appreciation for the wonderful honor of being named “The

Wharton Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture’s Teacher of the Year.”

Again, the honor was overwhelming and I am sincerely thankful. How

outstanding it was to receive such recognition from the community for

doing something I dearly love to do! The banquet was
