Opportunities for LGAF in the Mekong Region

• No LGAF in Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar; MRLG introduced LGAF to CLMV stakeholders

• LGAF can be very relevant in informing/guiding:– On-going policy and legislative development: Myanmar

National Land Use Policy, Laos National Land Policy, moratorium on ELCs, etc.

– CSO networks (LIWG, LCG, LANDA, NGO Forum) in advocacy works on land issues

– many donor initiatives in land governance in the region– Synergy with VGGT advocacy and initiatives (Myanmar)
