The Power of a Group
Why Participants Liked the Class
Moms supporting other moms
“I liked the group class because you learn you’re not the only one going through these things.”
“Somebody asked a question that I was thinking about but was too shy to ask.”
Why Participants Liked the ClassObserving their babies and other babies
“I liked learning about the ‘I want to be near you cues.’ I thought that newborn babies just sit there, and didn’t realize they want to interact.”
“My baby sucks on the bottle when I know he should be full. Now I know why and know that he is full.”
“I didn’t realize you have to pay such close attention to noticing when a baby is full if you give him a bottle”
Breastfeeding Support
A bottle feeding mom’s comment to a breastfeeding mom:
“People told me to only breastfeed my baby every 3 hours. I’ve been breastfeeding him whenever he shows me hunger cues, and now I know that my gut feelings were right.”
”I think it’s easier to know what your baby needs when you are breastfeeding”
