  • 1. Early Childhood Environmental Education Internship Tree House Hollow Preschool is seeking an enthusiastic intern to join us for our environmentally focused outdoor summer camp. Interns will gain experience teaching and connecting young children to nature. Tree House Hollow is a preschool that is environmentally based and is located in Sebastopol. The garden and play area offer wonderful places for children to explore and use their natural sense of wonder. Driven by the strong belief in experiential, child-centered education, many activities are offered each day providing children with the opportunity to make choices, become independent thinkers and active learners. An emphasis is placed on instilling a reverence for Mother Earth by exploring nature through field trips, art, stories, songs and movement. The intern will be responsible for collaborating with the teaching staff, facilitating activities, joining us on weekly local field trips, and assisting in the set-up and clean-up. Our summer camp is for three-six year olds and runs from June 9 until August 8, Monday-Thursday from 8:30-1:30, with a break the week of July 7th. We are looking for someone to be available for at least six out of the eight weeks. The intern will be awarded a $300 educational stipend at the completion of the internship. Experience or coursework in either early childhood education or environmental education are required. The intern will need to be fingerprinted and have a current TB test at their own expense if selected. Interested applicants should submit cover letters and resumes by April 30 to Megan Wilson [email protected] ph 707-849-2747.
