TRANSCRIPT

Surface modelling:1. Click eagle point icon on desktop

2. Click Create New Project option

3. Eagle point project is highlighted by default. Click next tab.

4. A dialog box will open. Write the project name in project Description. Write the name of file or click browse button to give path of autocad file in project Drawing. Then click finish tab.

5. Then click ok.

6. An eagle point toobar will open. Go to products option and click surface modelling option.

7. A surface modelling tool box will open. Click prepare then click Manage surface Model

8. A dialog box will open. Click new surface model.

9. A dialog box will open. Write name of Surface in descriptionThen click ok. Then close.

Importing Points:

1. Then go to Prepare then click import ASC11 Points

2. A dialog box will open. Give path of data file in file Name. And Tick xyz option. Then click Apply

3. All the points will imported on autocad file. Then give Command of zoom All to see the points on autocad.

Triangulation:1. Click triangulate on Surface modeling toolbar then click on surface modeling. The following window will open.Tick display model & place tringle. Then click apply tab.

2. Then select the points and press enter. Triangulation is done as shown by following fig.

Contouring:1. Click contour option on Surface Modeling tool bar.

Then Click make Intermediate & index.

2. Following dialogbox will open.

3 click apply tab.

Annotation:

1. In surface modelling tool bar, click contour then Click annotate option. Following dialog box will open. There are three methods for annotation.

i) In crossing method, a line is drawn through contours. At the points of intersections, annotation is done.

ii) In interval method, annotation is done at intervals.

iii) In end points method, annotation is done at end points.

2. Tick end points and then click apply tab.

3. Then select all the points and press enter.

Road calculation:1. Go to products on eagle point toolbar. Then Click road Calc

2. An error will come if we dont have sub project.

3. Click yes. A dialog box will open. Write name of sub Project in description. Then click next tab then Click finish and then Click OK

4. Road calc 001 dialog box will open.

5. Draw a polyline

Alignment:1. click alignment on road calc toolbar. Then click convert object to alignment.

2. Then select the poly line and press enter. 3. Then select beginning point and click apply tab.

4. Horizental Alignment is done.

Cross section:1. Go to cross section on road calc tool bar. And select extract cross section.

2. A dialog box will open. Click ok. Then following dialog box will open. Tick extract and click ok tab.

3. Go to profile 0n road calc tool bar & select view profile graphics.

4. The profile view is shown as follows.

5. Draw a polyline as shown.

6. Then go to profile on Road calc toolbar & click convert object to.

7. After that select the poly line and press enter. A dialog box will open.

8. Click next and then click finish tab.

Construct typical Sections:

1. Go to cross section on road calc tool bar. Then click manage surface.

2. A dialog box will open, Write the name of different layers.

3. Then go to typical cross section on road calc tool bar & select manage typical sections.4. Then select new typical section then write the name of new typical section and click ok tab.

5. Then click view typical section.

6. Now construct the typical section by line command and draw its mirror.

7. To draw its mirror, go to the typical section on road calc tool bar then click on construct typical section. A dialog box will open. Click on mirror command.

Define:

1. Go to typical cross section, then select construct typical section

2. A dialog box will open click on define button.

3. Then a dialog box will open , highlight any layer and click define tab.

4. Then pick the points and click ok.

Process:1. Go to process on road calc tool bar. Then click on manage condition tables.

2. We define side slopes for cut and fills.

3. Then click ok. And click close tab4. Then go to edit design location.

5. Here we mention the chainage for processing. A dialog box will open.

6. Then go to to process and click run design7. Then click on run tab.

Output:1. Go to output on road calc tool bar. And click on cross section sheet.

2. A dialog box will open. Click on new cross section sheets.

3. Then a new dialog box will open. Click ok tab.

4. Go to plan & profile sheets.

5. A dialog box will open. Then go to new profile sheets

6. A dialog box will open, click ok tab. Then click on view plan & profile sheets.
