Why this works for me:■ Why this works for our production, as opposed to our original

MTV idea, is the extra percentages in the female viewing audience of E4. Soap Operas originally were created for a female audience, and even to this day, statistically, more women watch soap operas than men. E4 similarly appeals to a young, ‘trendy’ audience, and our key themes of university life and young relationships adhere to this perfectly. Although there is minimal viewers in terms of older audiences, we still feel that the inclusion of a variety of different characters – especially older ones – will draw a collection of different audiences together to watch the same programme.
