support learning so… fold back the green triangle

Impact and Feedback

And you can fold down the green triangle for more feedback.
Student Comments
I never realised how silly I have behaved and how much I put myself at risk until I did this unit. Now I am aware of ways to improve my safety.
I was feeling really down and fed up and bogged under with work and my home life but this unit made me think that maybe my dream job isn’t so hard to get to now I
have identified short steps and ways of how to get there – can’t wait to pass my qualification and then
come back and give a talk to new students!
It is fantastic to see a working qualification which rewards the young people who have thought about their careers and gone about planning and developing the right skills that employers need.
As an employer I’m absolutely delighted that employability skills are being recognised in this way. The young people
receiving their certificates have shown great initiative in demonstrating their problem solving,
communication and teamwork skills and their positive attitude to employment.
As a result of level 1 catering students completing the employability course, four students got jobs by handing in
a CV and having the confidence to approach employers about a job.
Fold down all remaining triangles.
Support available…
Support• TMT– Cross-college tutorial programme and resources
• LTRS support– Training and support on using
technology– Resource creation and displays– Study skills and supported study– Online course creation
Distance and Online Learning• Team working (curriculum with support)• E&D course
• Excellent feedback from external moderator
The resource which has been produced by the college was not just produced to a professional standard but, would rival any already published
resource.
