Women Marines Association (WMA) 30 th Biennial Convention & Professional Development Symposium WASHINGTON, DC August 30 – September 3, 2018 Celebrating 100 Years of Women in the Marine Corps Plan to celebrate the Centennial Convention in our Nation’s Capital, Washington, DC – also the home of the first chapter of the Women Marines Association (DC-1). Crystal Gateway Marriott 1700 Jefferson Davis Hwy Arlington, VA 22202 (703) 920-3230 Washington, DC is the perfect location to celebrate the 100th anniversary of women in the Marine Corps. The Nation’s Capital is in an area that has something for everyone to enjoy. Come enjoy the Evening Parade at 8th and I with the President’s Own Band, a trip to the Marine Corps War Memorial and a trip to the National Museum of the Marine Corps. This is the home of the only Women’s Memorial that celebrates women from each of the services at the Women in Military Service for America Memorial (WIMSA) at the gates of Arlington Cemetery. Washington, DC is close to the Crossroads of the Marine Corps, Quantico, VA, and has a wealth of Marine Corps history. Since 1918, American women have answered their country’s call to serve. We have served proudly with distinction and honor; each generation evolving but always retaining our proud traditions. Plan to attend the Centennial Convention.
