WHAT DOES A RETURN TO THE TIERED

    APPROACH MEAN FOR HLC FUNDED

DELIVERY?This week we return from the National Lock

down back to the tiered approach, so what

does this mean for HLC funded delivery?

    1st December Update:

Put simply, there’s no change in the

    Government policy regarding educational

settings remaining open, as stated in the

Government’s Covid Winter Plan, “The policy

in England is that educational settings will

remain open in all tiers." So even though

the Humber is in the Very High tier, there’s

    no change to the approach.

There has been some limited updates to the

FE settings guidance (see updated 26/11 link

below), however, the policy remains broadly

the same, that is, 16-18 year olds should be

receiving some face to face delivery, and 19+

    provision should move online where

    possible, with due consideration to

    vulnerable learners and those without

    access to ICT.

the Coronavirus outbreak - GOV.UK please

    YOUTH HUB SUPPORTS ITS FIRST

CUSTOMERS...The Youth Hub welcomed its first young

    people this week, with diagnostic

    assessments underway via virtual/remote

means and a training and employment

support plan being developed by the

dedicated JCP Work Coaches and Key

Workers. There has already been much

interest in the Hub from potential customers

    and awareness sessions by Springboard

partners to the Jobcentre have been well

    received.

Over the coming weeks, we’d like to

introduce to you some of the key members

of the Hub staff team and the specialist

support they can provide, starting in this

edition with….Laura and Adam, the mental

health therapists from City Health Care

    Partnership (CHCP).

Further updates will feature in the next

edition and hopefully we'll be bringing

news of when the Youth Hub will be able

to officially ‘open the doors’ and welcome

    young people in centre.
