The season of fasng is over, its me to feast! In honor of the fesve character of Easter, celebrate EACH Sunday for the rest of this month by sharing a fesve meal together. As much as you are able to, make each meal extra special to highlight the reason for the celebraon: Jesusresurrecon! “… you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for HE HAS RISEN ...Matt 28: 5-6 Alleluia! He is risen indeed! On behalf of the parish staff, I share the joy of Easter morning with every- one. It is surreal and weird to be celebrating Easter apart from one another. One priest made an interesting note, however, that the way we are celebrating Easter today, confined in our own closed doors,is probably quite similar to how our first Christian brethren celebrated it: con- fined, with only their closest family and friends with them uncertain of a future that lurks outside. They were fearful for their well-being, with arrest and persecution almost a certain possibility for those who follow Christ. I believe many of us share the same fear. Fear for our well-being too, not so much as the prospect of arrest and persecution, but against an invisible terror that discriminates against no one. But just like those first Christians, the news of the Resurrection gives us something similar to what they received: HOPE. That Christ lives is a welcome sign given to them that the powers of darkness has no power over the light of Christ. Christs words were true. And so we too, should accept and embrace the reality of the Resurrection as our own sign of HOPE that just as Christ did not leave His disciples as orphans, He will not abandon us either. There is reason for JOY because there is reason for HOPE. Have a blessed and joyful Easter everyone! Fr. Jonathan POSTPONED PARISH EVENTS. JOSHUA 24:15 FAMILY CORNER “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord”

Please consider this activity for your family this

month of APRIL 2020: FAST OFF, FEAST ON. The season of fasting is over, it’s time to feast! In honor of the festive character of Easter, celebrate EACH Sunday for the rest of this month by sharing a festive meal together. As much as you are able to, make each meal extra special to highlight the reason for the celebration: Jesus’ resurrection!

“… you seek Jesus

who was crucified.

He is not here; for

HE HAS

RISEN ...” Matt 28: 5-6 Alleluia! He is risen indeed! On behalf of the parish staff, I share the joy of Easter morning with every-one. It is surreal and weird to be celebrating Easter apart from one another. One priest made an interesting note, however, that the way we are celebrating Easter today, confined in our own ‘closed doors,’ is probably quite similar to how our first Christian brethren celebrated it: con-fined, with only their closest family and friends with them uncertain of a future that lurks outside. And so we too, should accept and embrace the reality of the Resurrection as our own sign of HOPE that just as Christ did not leave His disciples as orphans, He will not abandon us either. There is reason for JOY because there is reason for HOPE.

Have a blessed and joyful Easter everyone! Fr. Jonathan
