Over his lifetime, he trained extensively in the Barway Dorje tradition, including a nine year nine month retreat. He came to the U.S. in 2003 to teach at Kunzang Palchen Ling, and works with Bardor Tulku Rinpoche to help further the Barway Dorje tradition.
