Snack Food Production FacilityNeeds New Floor

• The 6000 square feet floor had never been painted.

• There were a number of cracks in the floor.

• Dirt and oil from the food production were becoming engrained in the floor.

• In places, the floor was very slippy.

• Cleanliness was becoming a serious problem.

• The painted floor would need to withstand frequent cleaning.

• Health & Safety audits were highlighting the floor as a difficulty.

Snack Food Production FacilityNeeds New Floor

• Our technical partner recommended a two part epoxy.

• The first coat was a clear coat.

• Before the first coat was dry, a sand aggregate was strewn over the floor, to give it an anti-slip property.

• The floor was then left to cure overnight, and was ready for the topcoat next morning.

• The two part epoxy was then mixed and colour added, and the floor was rolled.

• The whole job was done over a weekend, which meant that there was no break to production.

• The 200+ stores needed revamping with corporate image.

• The shops are widely spread geographically.

• Business must continue during any work being done.

• Customers must be aware of what is going on.

• The stores must be done to an agreed schedule.

• Health & Safety is a critical issue for Ladbrokes.

• Each store operates seven days a week.

• 24/7 Operation.

• We cleaned before we did anything else.

• We repaired where it was needed.

• Then the Undercoat.

• Some shops Satin, some Eggshell and some Soft Sheen.

• Finally, a smart topcoat finish was applied.

• Job Done !!
