Carlos Aaron must be commended for presenting some of his speech in Te Reo Māori, the first time since this competition started that we have had a bilingual approach. The overall standard was very high and all speakers should feel very proud of their presentations. Overall results will be announced in Celebration Assembly next week. Thank you to our judges Amanda and Adam and thank to you our audience who listened respectfully for the whole assembly.

AFTER SCHOOL ART - Emma, Gilbert and Ngahuia are creating a Galaxy T-shirt during the After-School Art class which winds up this week for Term 2. Classes are held every Tuesday or Thursday from 3pm - 4.30pm. Students get to explore a range of media over the 6 weeks with a one-off charge of $5 going towards materials used. Places are strictly limited to 15 students per session so if your child is interested please be sure to have them watch the morning notices in week 1 of the new term inviting them to get a permission slip from the office. First in with the paid and signed permission slip gets a place. We ask that if your child has done this class already this year please wait and give others a chance first, then in week 2 second-time students can join. Please note: The permission slip can be viewed on the school App but payment must be made at the school office as places cannot be held.
