For the Dublin 2018 World Para Swimming European Championships,

the Local Organising Committee (LOC) has selected accommodation

options that best serve the requirements for the competition in terms

of accessibility for the athletes, proximity to the competition venue and

a central location in the city providing easy access and transportation.

The accommodation options are 3 and 4 stars and provide a high level

of service with good facilities including complimentary Wi-Fi and

different bedroom types. The hotels have also been selected to allow

for a simplified and unified transport system to the National Aquatic

Centre for training and competition.

Catering

While the rates displayed are bed and breakfast rates (per person), if a

country chooses to stay at the LOC nominated hotels, lunch and dinner

will also be provided at the hotel and no additional charges will be

incurred by National Paralympic Committees (NPCs).

Transport

Transportation will be provided from the hotels to the venue for

classification, training and the competition. The routes will be

published closer to the event with it being expected that the journey

time will be no more than 40 minutes (subject to traffic). The transport

service will run regularly based on the competition schedule. Return

airport transfers from Dublin Airport per NPC delegation will be

provided but additional charges may apply if individuals from the

same delegation arrive at separate times from the full group and if we

are unable to provide an alternative transfer.

***If an NPC books accommodation outside of the nominated

Championship Hotels, transport and catering will not be provided by

the LOC.

Booking Policy

All NPCs must book accommodation by Friday, 1 December 2017, with a

20% deposit. The rooms are guaranteed only once the 20% deposit has

been received and the LOC have sent the confirmation for this to the

NPC. A further 30% is due Thursday, 1 March 2018 and the full amount

for all rooms must be paid on or before Friday, 1 June 2018. The NPC is

responsible for all the bank fees, if applicable.

Cancellation Policy

After 1 June 2018, no changes or refunds will be made to the NPC. All

deposits are non-refundable and any cancellation above the deposit

percentage paid is chargeable.

Booking Process

Please contact paraswim2018@abbey.ie to make your booking as soon

as possible. Please note that while every effort will be made to allocate

your preferred hotel, it may not always be possible to accommodate

everybody’s first choice. Hotels will be allocated to the NPCs on a first

come first served basis and once the 20% deposit has been paid. We

will do our utmost to accommodate late bookings but unfortunately,

we cannot guarantee availability, as August is a very busy month in

Dublin.

DCU Glasnevin offers a mix of 314 single and twin rooms including 11

wheelchair accessible rooms and a large number of walk in showers.

It is the largest of the three main campuses in Dublin City University

providing modern rooms in an accessible location in North Dublin.

All rooms are ensuite and are both modern and affordable with

self-catering facilities available. Each apartment has either 4 or 5

bedrooms in each with a shared living space that suits groups. DCU
